Round-the-clock coverage of the third day’s action at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will be broadcast across BBC Sport and Eurosport.
SOTB’s Olympics TV guides will take you through all the key action and list the must-see moments every day throughout the Games.
28 Olympic sporting disciplines are in action on Monday with 21 gold medals set to be won. Here is a summary of the best action to look out for:
TRIATHLON: It’s an early start to Monday’s action in Tokyo thanks to the men’s triathlon, where Jonny Brownlee and Alex Yee are Great Britain’s representatives, in a race that will start at 6.30am local time in an attempt to avoid the sweltering daytime Tokyo heat.
Team GB have won the last two Olympic men’s triathlon titles thanks to Alistair Brownlee, but he wasn’t selected for Tokyo, leaving an opportunity for younger brother Jonny, who finished second to Alistair on the podium at both London and Rio.
SWIMMING: Having broken all records and dominated the men’s 100m breaststroke since claiming gold in Rio five years ago, Adam Peaty goes for gold again at around 3am. Can he claim Team GB’s first gold medal of the Tokyo Games?
DIVING: Tom Daley starts his quest for gold in what is his fourth Olympic campaign, alongside debutant Matty Lee in the men’s 10m synchro competition. Daley won bronze with Dan Goodfellow in this event in Rio.
GYMNASTICS: Host nation Japan will be aiming to defend the men’s all-around team title they won five years ago in Rio, while Great Britain, led by two-time gold medallist Max Whitlock, will be hoping to get onto the podium, having narrowly missed out in Rio.
TAEKWONDO: After Bradly Sinden won silver for Team GB on day two, two-time European champion Lauren Williams is Britain’s representative today in the women’s -67kg class.
CANOE SLALOM: The action at the Kasai Canoe Slalom Centre gets underway on day three with the men’s competition. Britain’s Adam Burgess will be aiming to make it through to the final.
CYCLING MOUNTAIN BIKE: After the road racing around Mount Fuji, it’s the turn of the mountain bikers today as the men race for gold around the Izu MTB Course. Tom Pidcock is Britain’s sole representative.
RUGBY SEVENS: The exciting rugby sevens competition kicks off on Monday with two sessions, both featuring Great Britain’s men team. First up, they play Canada at 1.30am, followed by hosts Japan at 8.30am.

An early start to day three with the start of the men’s triathlon on Sunday night and heading into Monday morning.
Britain has high hopes of a third consecutive gold in the men’s triathlon. Alistair Brownlee has won the last two men’s triathlon titles but didn’t qualify for Tokyo. Can brother and two-time Olympic medallist Jonny finally claim gold at his third games, or could rising star Alex Yee be the man on the top of the podium?
Then at around 3am, Adam Peaty will be expecting to claim gold in the men’s 100m breaststroke. He has been in dominant form since winning in Rio, and the world champion and world record-holder is aiming to become the first British swimmer to retain an Olympic title.
Shortly after the men’s breaststroke final, American superstar Katie Ledecky will be looking for the first of a possible five golds at these games in the women’s 400m freestyle, while in skateboarding, the women’s street final takes place at 4.30am.

LIVE GYMNASTICS, SWIMMING Presenters: Hazel Irvine |
Max Whitlock and the GB squad hope to get on the podium in the men’s team gymnastics, while Katie Ledecky and Britain’s Freya Anderson will be competing in the pool.
Britain finished an agonising fourth in the men’s team gymnastics in Rio but will need to be at the top of their game to overhaul the likes of Russia, China and Japan in Tokyo.
The women’s 1500m freestyle is a new race at this year’s Olympics, and as the longest race in the pool, it will be a real test of endurance – but no-one will be better suited to it than Ledecky, who is the world record-holder. Meanwhile, Anderson won 200m freestyle at this year’s European Championships and is a rising star in British swimming – but the event looks to have one of the most competitive fields in Tokyo.
NOTE: Coverage switches to BBC Two for 45 minutes at 12pm.
