Flintoff’s former England team-mate Pietersen, current England bowler Broad, England Women international Beaumont – who will also play for London Spirit during the tournament – and India’s Karthik are also part of a star-studded Sky line-up.
They will work alongside Pakistan legend Wasim Akram, Sri Lanka superstar Kumar Sangakkara, West Indies’ two-time T20 World Cup-winning captain Daren Sammy, and former Australia women’s international Mel Jones.
They will share hosting duties for each of the 68 matches – 34 men’s and 34 women’s games – which will be broadcast live on a dedicated channel – Sky Sports The Hundred – which will take over the existing Sky Sports Cricket channel for the duration of the competition this July and August.
A selection of matches will also be shown live on Sky Sports Mix, while all women’s matches and a significant number of men’s games will be streamed live on the Sky Sports Cricket YouTube channel.
The competition launches with a women’s match between Oval Invincibles and Manchester Originals at The Kia Oval on Wednesday, 21 July, while the men’s and women’s finals will be played at Lord’s on Saturday, 21 August.
Commenting on Sky’s Hundred coverage, Bryan Henderson, head of Sky Sports Cricket, said:

“Hopefully the competition will inspire many girls and boys to pick up a bat and ball. We’ve put together an amazing line up of presenters and commentators; there’s a completely fresh graphics look and some exciting new broadcast technology. We very much hope you enjoy the coverage.”
As well as full live coverage on Sky Sports, the BBC will also broadcast a selection of live matches free-to-air, including the first women’s match and both the men’s and women’s finals.
The competition will offer equal prize money for the men’s and women’s tournament and will be the first major UK team sporting competition in history to launch with a standalone women’s fixture.
After the opening two matches – the men’s competition starts on 22 July with Invincibles taking on Originals – the rest of the schedule will see men’s and women’s double headers staged on the same day, with the ambition of elevating women’s cricket.
