
BBC Sport and Eurosport will have comprehensive round-the-clock coverage of the second day of action at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

A bumper 29 Olympic sporting disciplines are in action on Sunday with 18 gold medals set to be won. Here is a summary of the best action to look out for:
TAEKWONDO: Double Olympic taekwondo champion Jade Jones goes for an unprecedented third consecutive gold medal in the -57kg class, having triumphed in London and Rio. There’s further British interest as Bradly Sinden competes in the men’s -68kg category.
No British woman has ever won gold medals at three separate Olympics, although three other women – Laura Kenny, Helen Glover and Charlotte Dujardin – all arrive at these Games with the chance to do the same.
ROAD CYCLING: After yesterday’s men’s road race, today it’s the turn of the women to race around the course in shadows of Mount Fuji, where Lizzie Deignan leads Great Britain’s hopes.
SWIMMING: The first medal event in the pool is men’s 400m individual medley, which features Britain’s Max Litchfield, while Adam Peaty competes in the semi-finals of the men’s 100m breaststroke. Also, Caeleb Dressel, the USA’s newest swimming superstar, competes in heats of the men’s 4x100m freestyle relay.
SKATEBOARDING: One of five sports that is making its Olympic bow, one of skateboarding’s biggest names, Nyjah Huston of the United States, is expected to star in the final of the men’s street competition.
DIVING: The action in the diving pool begins with the women’s synchronised 3m springboard final, which features Britain’s Grace Reid and Katherine Torrance.
ARCHERY: Sarah Bettles, Naomi Folkard and Bryony Pitman go for women’s team gold, although the will have to get past Italy in the elimination round to progress to the quarter-finals.
GYMNASTICS: Global sporting superstar and four-time Olympic champion from Rio, Simone Biles of the United States, competes in the women’s qualifying, as she aims to become the greatest gymnast of all-time.
TENNIS: Defending double Olympic men’s singles champion Andy Murray takes on Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime in the first round, while British team-mate Liam Broady begins his campaign. In the women’s draw, Japan’s Naomi Osaka, who lit the Olympic cauldron at the opening ceremony, starts her quest for gold.

BBC Sport is the home of live free-to-air coverage of all the key medal moments at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
More than 350 hours of coverage will be broadcast across network TV – BBC One and BBC Two – and via one extra live stream available on the Red Button and online via BBC iPlayer.

Tokyo is eight hours ahead of the UK when lining up your viewing plans, so the early action on each day’s timetable will be happen overnight and the live sporting schedule is set to run through until around 3pm UK time each day.
With focus on UK medal interest, the potential for disruption due to Covid and the high chances of inclement weather in Tokyo, there may be late changes to the main BBC network TV schedule and Eurosport 1/2 coverage throughout the Games.

British Olympic champions Adam Peaty and Jade Jones are both in action on day two, which also includes skateboarding, an exciting new addition to the games.
Reigning 100m breaststroke champion Peaty will be aiming to book his place in the final, while other swimming highlights include Japanese star Daiya Seto going for gold at his home games in the 400m individual medley.
Meanwhile, Britain’s Jade Jones begins her quest to become the first taekwondo fighter to win three Olympic gold medals. Team-mate and fellow world champion Bradly Sinden will also be competing. Two years ago, the Doncaster fighter became the first British man to win gold at the World Championships.

Multiple Olympic gold medallists Simone Biles and Jade Jones will be among the stars competing as day two gets into its stride in Tokyo.
Double Olympic taekwondo champion Jones will expect to be competing in the semi-finals, where a win would guarantee another medal, while Biles will be in action in the qualifying for the team and individual apparatus finals.
Meanwhile, Britain’s London 2012 silver medallist Lizzie Deignan will be riding in the women’s road race against the stunning backdrop of Mount Fuji.
South Korea will be hot favourites in the women’s team archery, but Britain, led by five-time Olympian Naomi Folkard, will be hoping to get in on the medals after winning bronze at the 2019 World Championships.

Britain’s Lizzie Deignan is hunting for a medal in the women’s road race while US star Katie Ledecky will be in action as the swimming heats continue on day two of the Olympics.
Deignan memorably won silver at London 2012 – Team GB’s first medal of those games – and the former world champion will be hoping to get on the podium again in Tokyo.
Ledecky is already a five-time Olympic champion and is set to be one of the stars of these Games. The 400m freestyle has been one of her favoured events but she will face a strong challenge from rising Australian swimmer Ariarne Titmus, who sensationally beat her at the last World Championships.
NOTE: Coverage switches to BBC Two for 15 minutes at 12pm.

Jade Jones will be hoping to win Olympic gold for the third time in a row while fellow British taekwondo fighter Bradly Sinden will also be aiming to be in the medal hunt.

Eurosport and discovery+ is the ‘Streaming Home of the Olympics’ for Tokyo 2020.
The platform will include more than 50 live event feeds, including the main Eurosport 1 and 2 channels. Discovery+ will also stream Eurosport pop-up channels 3 to 9, as well as providing access to all the action on-demand.
