BBC Sport has picked up the rights to broadcast every match of Copa America 2021.
Starting on 13 June, the tournament, which will feature the 10 teams that make up the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL), will now be hosted by Brazil, after Argentina and Colombia were stripped of staging the tournament just days before kick off.
All 28 games will be streamed live across BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website/app, while the majority of matches are also set to be shown live on TV via the Red Button, which will also broadcast daytime match replays.
The 2021 edition will be the first to covered live by a free-to-air broadcaster in the UK, with recent editions having been shown on Premier Sports.
Nine-time Copa America champions and newly installed 2021 hosts Brazil will be looking to defend the title they won on home soil in 2019, when they beat Peru in the final.
Among the players set to feature in this year’s tournament are Brazil’s Neymar, Gabriel Jesus and Roberto Firmino, Argentina’s Lionel Messi and Uruguay’s Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani.
The 47th edition of the competition was due to take place in 2020, just a year after the previous one as CONMEBOL had decided to reformat the calendar so that their competition would take place in the same year as UEFA’s European Championship. But it had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The tournament sees teams split into two groups of five, where the top four of each move on to the quarter-finals.
Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay, Chile, Paraguay will play in Group A, while Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru make up Group B.
The 2021 Copa America final is due to take place at the iconic Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro on 10 July.
The BBC’s output from the South American tournament will complement its live coverage of UEFA Euro 2020, which also runs throughout June and July.
As well as the forthcoming Copa America, the corporation has increased its engagement with overseas football in recent years, having shown the knockout stages from the last two editions of Copa Libertadores and the FIFA Club World Cup.
