Britain’s heavyweight star defends his world titles against Ruiz Jr at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York, with a bumper bill starting on Saturday, 1 June.
Joshua becomes the latest British boxing star to arrive in America for a crucial night in New York, following in the footsteps of British boxing legends including Lennox Lewis, Joe Calzaghe, Naseem Hamed and Amir Khan.
He takes on the the California-based Mexican, who was unveiled as the new opponent for Joshua’s US debut, after Jarrell Miller failed a drug test, meaning the 29-year-old will instead target the WBA ‘Super’, IBF and WBO titles at the famous Manhattan venue.
Sky Sports Box Office will be showing Joshua’s first fight in America, with Katie Taylor also facing Delfine Persoon in an undisputed world lightweight title fight.
Elsewhere, Callum Smith makes the first defence of his WBA ‘super’ super-middleweight title, and the exciting trio of Joshua Buatsi, Josh Kelly and Tommy Coyle also return to action as part of a packed bill of boxing.

Fans can now book Anthony Joshua’s US debut against Andy Ruiz Jr, Katie Taylor’s undisputed world lightweight title fight, and the undercard at Madison Square Garden, with comprehensive coverage throughout the week building up to the pay-per-view encounter.
Live and exclusive coverage of a bumper night of boxing starts at 10.00pm on Saturday, 1 June, on Sky Sports Box Office (Sky channel 491, HD channel 492), with coverage presented by Anna Woolhouse.
She will be joined by Sky Sports regulars Carl Froch and Johnny Nelson, plus various special guests throughout the night, including Tony Bellew, while Adam Smith leads the commentary team and Andy Scott will get the latest reaction and interviews from ringside.
There are multiple ways to book the event, which is priced at £19.95 for UK customers, up until Midnight, Friday, 31 May. Thereafter £19.95 across all “self-service” bookings (remote control / online) if booked via the phone (either IVR or agent), but note an additional £2 booking fee if via an agent still applies.
Two full repeat showings of the entire fight night will be shown at 9am and 5.30pm on Sunday, 2 June, also priced at £19.95.
