After more than two weeks of competition, the Tokyo 2020 Olympics conclude on Sunday 8th August and both BBC Sport and Eurosport will have extensive coverage of the final sporting action, as well as the Closing Ceremony from the Olympic Stadium at 12pm UK time.
SOTB’s Olympics TV guides will take you through all the key action and list the must-see moments every day throughout the Games.
Eight sports feature on the final day of action and the winners of the remaining 13 gold medals will be decided, before the closing ceremony at the Olympic Stadium in the evening.
Here is a summary of the best action to look out for:
ATHLETICS: The final athletics event of the Tokyo Games is the men’s marathon in Sapporo. The defending Olympic marathon champion and world record holder Eliud Kipchoge of Kenya is one of the firm favourites, while Callum Hawkins, Ben Connor and Chris Thompson run for Great Britain.
TRACK CYCLING: The men’s keirin, a discipline which was invented in Japan and has a huge following all over the country, headlines the final day of track cycling. In the event, riders are paced by a motorised scooter for several laps before a sprint finish.
British riders have won the men’s keirin at the last three Olympics – Sir Chris Hoy in 2008 and 2012, and Jason Kenny in 2016. Kenny or Jack Carlin could be medal contenders for Britain this time around. Elsewhere, Katy Marchant goes in the women’s sprint and Laura Kenny rides in the women’s omnium.
BOXING: Four boxing finals feature on the final day of the Games with British interest in the women’s middleweight final, as Lauren Price takes on Li Qian of China for gold.
The men’s super-heavyweight final wraps up the action in the ring and features Uzbekistan’s Bakhodir Jalolov, who beat Commonwealth champion Frazer Clarke of Great Britain in the semi-finals, takes on American Richard Torrez Jr.
BASKETBALL: The United States will be looking for a clean sweep of the basketball medals with victory over hosts Japan in the women’s gold medal game.
VOLLEYBALL: In the women’s medal matches, South Korea play Serbia for bronze, while in the gold medal match, Brazil take on the United States.
HANDBALL: The women’s tournament concludes with Russian Olympic Committee team playing France for gold, while its an all Scandinavian clash in the bronze medal match as Norway take on Sweden.
WATER POLO: There are four matches of the final day at the Tatsumi Water Polo Centre, including two classification matches, followed by the bronze and gold medal matches. In the latter, Greece play Serbia for the Olympic title, in what is scheduled to be the final sporting action to be played before the closing ceremony.
CLOSING CEREMONY: The Tokyo Olympics comes to a spectacular end with the traditional closing ceremony and the handover to Paris ahead of the French capital hosting the Games in 2024.

Tokyo is eight hours ahead of the UK when lining up your viewing plans, so the early action on each day’s timetable will be happen overnight and the live sporting schedule is set to run through until around 3pm UK time each day.

Former kickboxing world champion and Wales football international Lauren Price claimed a gold medal at the 2019 World Championship and is favourite for the middleweight title. Her young teammate Caroline Dubois is looking to turn youth Olympic gold into a senior one.
The final event is the men’s super heavyweight, in which Team GB’s Frazer Clarke went into the Games looking to match the achievements of his former sparring partners Anthony Joshua, who won gold at London 2012, and Joe Joyce, who claimed silver in Rio.
There will also be action from the gold medal matches in handball, volleyball and water polo.
