The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games reaches its seventh day of competition on Friday and there will be round-the-clock coverage across BBC Sport and Eurosport.
SOTB’s Olympics TV guides will take you through all the key action and list the must-see moments every day throughout the Games.
A total of 27 Olympic sporting disciplines are in action on Friday, with 21 gold medals set to be won. Here is a summary of the best action to look out for:
ATHLETICS: The track and field action in the Olympic Stadium gets underway, including the early rounds of the women’s 100m, where World Championship silver medallist Dina Asher-Smith will be lining up in the start of her quest for Olympic glory. No British woman has won Olympic gold in the either the 100m or 200m, while the last medal in either of those blue-ribbon sprint events came 61 years ago.
Later in the day, the first track final takes place with the men’s 10,000m final, where the biggest absentee is the Olympic champion from London and Rio – Mo Farah – after he failed to make the selection time. Mark Scott and Sam Atkin will instead run for Team GB.
ROWING: It’s the final day of the rowing regatta and it’s the last chance for Great Britain to win gold on the water. The men’s eight will be attempting to repeat their gold medal success in Rio, but it will a tough ask against strong German and Australian opposition, while Vicky Thornley goes in the women’s single sculls.
SWIMMING: There are four more swimming gold medals to be won at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre, including the men’s 200m individual medley final, featuring Duncan Scott, who bids to win his third of a possible four medals having already won gold and silver so far. The host nation will also have a strong interest in the race courtesy of reigning world champion Daiya Seto.
Elsewhere, Luke Greenbank, who won bronze at the 2019 world championships, goes in the men’s 200m backstroke final, Molly Renshaw and Abbie Wood are in the women’s 200m breaststroke final, while Anna Hopkin competes in the women’s 100m freestyle.
BMX RACING: Great Britain’s Kye Whyte and Bethany Shriever will be attempting the reach the finals of their respective events, as the medals are won in this fast, thrilling and unpredictable discipline.
TRAMPOLINING: After the tension and drama of the artistic gymnastics programme, the focus now switches on the trampolining discipline, which sprang a surprise silver medal for Britain’s Bryony Page five years ago in Rio. She and compatriot Laura Gallagher will be aiming to reach the final at the Ariake Gymnastics Centre.
CANOE SLALOM: The final day of canoe slalom events sees the men’s kayak semi-finals and final take place at the Kasai Canoe Slalom Centre. Britain’s Joe Clarke won gold in this event in Rio, but wasn’t selected to defend his title in Tokyo, so GB’s hopes this time rest on Bradley Forbes-Cryans.
FOOTBALL: The women’s football competition reaches the quarter-final stage and Great Britain face Australia at the Ibaraki Kashima stadium for a place in the last four.
RUGBY SEVENS: It’s crunch time in the women’s competition as the final group matches take place in the afternoon, followed by the quarter-finals in the evening.
JUDO: After narrowly missing out on the London and Rio Olympics, Sarah Adlington finally makes her debut at the Games in the women’s +78kg category, in the penultimate day of the judo programme.
TENNIS: The first tennis medals will be won on Friday with men’s doubles gold medal match taking place, while the men’s singles and mixed doubles competitions reach their semi-final stage.
