ITV will broadcast exclusive live coverage of England’s Euro 2020 semi-final against Denmark at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday, 7 July.
Victory for Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions would see England reach their first final in a major football tournament since the 1966 World Cup.
After the BBC had the first two picks of live matches in the round of 16 and quarter-final stages, drawing bumper audience figures in excess of 20m for England’s matches, it is ITV’s turn to have first choice of the semi-final clashes, as part of the arrangement between both broadcasters which was agreed shortly after the match schedule was released back in 2019.
Mark Pougatch will present ITV’s live coverage of England’s semi-final against Denmark from Wembley, with an extended 90-minute build-up to the match which kicks off at 8pm.
Studio analysis will be provided by Ian Wright, Gary Neville and Roy Keane, while Seema Jaswal will be based at pitchside for further discussion with Ashley Cole, Emma Hayes and Nadia Nadim. Match commentary will come from Sam Matterface and Lee Dixon, with further contributions from Hayes and Neville. Reports and interviews will come from Gabriel Clarke.
This will be the second successive tournament that ITV has exclusively broadcast live coverage of England at the semi-final stage of a major tournament, with a record audience of 27.5 million tuning in to watch their match against Croatia at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
As well as live TV coverage on ITV and STV, all the action will be streamed live online via ITV Hub and STV Player, while highlights of the match will be broadcast on BBC One at 11.30pm.
Spain or Italy will await the winner in the final and they will go head-to-head in their last-four encounter on Tuesday night (6 July).
The match is a rerun of the Euro 2012 final, which the Spaniards won 4-0, and will be broadcast live on BBC One, with Gary Lineker presenting coverage from Wembley. Build-up starts at 7.30pm ahead of an 8pm kick-off.
Live streaming will be available on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website, while highlights of the match will be shown on ITV at 10.45pm and STV at 11.10pm.
The UEFA Euro 2020 Final at Wembley Stadium will be broadcast live on both BBC One and ITV on Sunday, 11 July, kicking off at 8pm.
