Great Britain’s most successful away Olympic Games continues in Rio de Janeiro with complete coverage across the BBC as 16 more gold medals are set to be won on day 12.
Britain’s Olympians brought home another 11 medals on Tuesday, including three golds, to take their tally in Rio to 50 as Jason Kenny and Laura Trott swept aside all before them in the velodrome.
On paper, day 12 is unlikely to provide a similar plethora of medals that Team GB has won in recent days, but there are hopes golds in sailing and athletics, including the long jump, 200m and 100m hurdles.
ATHLETICS: The women’s 200m final features Great Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith, who was a trackside kit-carrier during Britain’s famous Super Saturday at London 2012. The European champion qualified as one of the fastest losers.
The Netherlands’ Dafne Schippers is a major contender for 200m gold, as are Tori Bowie for the US and Elaine Thompson of Jamaica.
Elsewhere for Team GB, Lorraine Ugen will aim for qualification into Wednesday’s women’s long jump final and Cindy Ofili is in the heats prior to the women’s 100m hurdles final.
HOCKEY: Today is women’s semi-finals day and Great Britain’s women face New Zealand at 21:00, with the chance of securing another medal to follow the bronze they won in London four years ago.
SAILING: The 470 class reaches its medal races from 17:00. In the women’s boat, Saskia Clark and Hannah Mills are guaranteed gold regardless of what happens in the final race.
In the men’s race, Luke Patience has a new partner in the GB 470, Chris Grube, after former partner Elliot Willis had to pull out for bowel cancer treatment in December.
EQUESTRIAN: Ben Maher and Nick Skelton are the British representatives aiming to qualify for the final of the individual showjumping event, but both will be absent from today’s team final, the event they won in London 2012, after the British team failed to progress from yesterday’s qualifying round.
BADMINTON: Great Britain’s Rajiv Ouseph has progressed to the men’s singles quarter-finals and today he faces Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen for a place in the last four.
GOLF: After Justin Rose’s triumph in the men’s event at the weekend, women golfers make their Olympic debut in the first round of play from 11:30, with Charley Hull and Catriona Matthew teeing off for Great Britain.
Unlike the men’s event, all of the biggest names in women’s golf will be competing in Rio, with New Zealand’s Lydia Ko the top-ranked qualifier and a winner of two majors in the past year, while Canadian 18-year-old PGA Championship winner Brooke Henderson is also tipped for the podium.
TABLE TENNIS: The men’s team medal matches brings Rio’s Olympic table tennis competition to a conclusion. China have won both Olympic titles since the team event was introduced at Beijing 2008 and will attempt to make it a hat-trick when they take on Japan from 23:30.
BEACH VOLLEYBALL: Host nation Brazil will be aiming to continue their traditional dominance in the women’s beach volleyball, a sport that is defined by this year’s location on the Copacabana.
Brazil have appeared in seven of 10 Olympic finals since beach volleyball arrived on the scene and another gold could be one of the defining moments of Rio 2016 for the hosts.

Defending champion Mo Farah features in the men’s 5,000m heats at the Olympic Stadium from 14.05, looking to make it through to yet another major final, before the decathlon long jump at 14.35, the women’s 800m heats at 14.55, the men’s steeplechase final at 15.50 and the decathlon shot put from 16.15.
The athletics action is interspersed with coverage from the National Equestrian Centre, where the team show jumping final takes place, with Great Britain, who won gold at the event in London 2012, absent from today’s competition for the medals after failing to qualify.
In Badminton, Great Britain’s Rajiv Ouseph faces Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen in the men’s singles quarter-finals at 15:00, then at 17:05, the women’s 470 sailing medal race takes place at Marina da Gloria, where Great Britain’s Hannah Mills and Saskia Clark are set to claim another sailing gold for Great Britain.

The women’s 100m hurdles semi-finals begin at 00.45, with the women’s long jump final at 01.15 and the decathlon 400m at 01.20 and the men’s 200m semi-finals – likely to feature Usain Bolt and Justin Gatlin – start at 02.00, the women’s 200m final gets under way at 02.30, followed by the women’s 100m hurdles final at 02.55.

The first women’s hockey semi-final gets under way at the Olympic Hockey Centre at 16.00, with Team GB hoping they are still in with a shot of at least equalling their bronze-medal-winning performance of the London Games four years ago.
