The delayed Emirates FA Cup quarter-finals will take place over the weekend of 27-28 June with all four ties to be broadcast live across BBC One and BT Sport.
The split of live TV matches remains the same as originally confirmed in March, with the BBC showing live coverage of Norwich City’s home tie against Manchester United, rescheduled for Saturday 27 June, and Newcastle v Manchester City on the following evening.
BT Sport will show a double-header of live action on Sunday, 28 June, starting with Sheffield United’s tie with 13-time winners Arsenal, followed by Leicester City v Chelsea.
Subject to all safety requirements in place, all matches will be played behind closed doors.
The semi-final draw will take place during half-time in Sunday’s late game and will be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
Newcastle legend Alan Shearer will be part of the BBC team at St James’ Park and will conduct the draw, in guidance with social distancing rules, with BBC guests and presenter Gary Lineker stationed at least two metres apart from one another and crew members.
Former England captain Shearer will be the only person handling the balls during the draw, and all balls and equipment prior to the draw will be thoroughly disinfected.
The FA has confirmed that the semi-finals will take place across the weekend of 18-19 July, with the Emirates FA Cup Final, which will be renamed the ‘Heads Up FA Cup final’ to raise mental health awareness, will be played on Saturday, 1 August.
