LaLiga Returns: LaLigaTV free for Sky customers in June

LaLigaTV will be made available for free to Sky customers across the UK during the entire month of June as Spain’s top-flight LaLiga returns after a three-month absence due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Fans will be able to watch the return of Spanish football from next month on the dedicated LaLiga channel, which is part of the Premier Sports channel line-up in the UK, including the title race between Barcelona and Real Madrid as LaLiga prepares to resume its 2019/20 season in line with a progressive return to everyday life in Spain.

Sky subscribers in the UK can activate channel 435 by visiting premiersports.com and registering their details with the promo code BACKTOWIN.

In addition to full access to LaLigaTV HD, including all live matches, subscribers will also get 24/7 LaLigaTV streaming access via the Premier Player app.

Then from 1 July, subscribers will be charged the standard monthly fee of  £5.99, which can be cancelled at any time.

Non-Sky subscribers can also enjoy a free month’s access to LaLigaTV by signing up for the Premier Player service using the same BACKTOWIN promo code, but the offer is not being made available to Virgin Media customers.

The full fixture list for LaLiga’s return is still to be confirmed, but matches are set to be shown every day of the week with late afternoon and evening kick-offs, as well as night matches at weekends.

La Liga president Javier Tebas has confirmed the Seville derby between Sevilla and Real Betis will be the first game back, possibly on 11 June.

In addition to the live matches, LaLigaTV viewers will also be able to watch new support programming, including a weekly #BackToWin special building up to the resumption of football in Spain, plus the Talking Football series hosted by Guillem Balague, featuring an exclusive interview with former LaLiga player and manager Mauricio Pochettino on 1 June at 8pm.

Since the mid-March postponement of professional football in Spain, LaLigaTV, together with Premier Sports’ free-to-air channel FreeSports, have featured a variety of programming, including a weekly LaLiga Classics, as well as new shows such as #StayAtHome and live events including the LaLiga Santander Challenge eSports tournament, as well as the LaLiga Santander Fest benefit concert, which raised over €1 million euro to help combat COVID-19.

Full details of all the live LaLiga matches across LaLigaTV, Premier Sports and FreeSports will be listed below as and when they are confirmed.

LaLigaTV is available on Sky channel 435 and Virgin Media 554, as well as via the Premier Player streaming service.
