FA Cup 3rd Round live on BBC One & BT Sport

BBC and BT Sport have confirmed which ties they will be broadcasting live as part of their coverage of the Emirates FA Cup Third Round on the first weekend of January 2020.

Six ties have been selected for live coverage with all third round fixtures kicking off one minute later than usual in support of the Heads Up campaign, in partnership with Public Health England’s Every Mind Matters, which aims to generate the biggest-ever conversation about mental health.

The action kicks off on Saturday, 4 January, with Newcastle United’s trip to either Rochdale or Boston United, live on BT Sport 1, with a 12.31pm kick-off time. The hosts are due to replay their drawn second-round tie on Monday, 16 December.

The second live game on Saturday, 4 January, also on BT Sport 1, is an all-Premier League tie as Wolverhampton Wanderers host Manchester United, kicking off at 5.31pm.

There will be three televised ties on, Sunday 5 January, starting with Middlesbrough against Tottenham Hotspur at 2.01pm and concluding with West Ham United travelling to Gillingham at 6.16pm, with both of these games live on BT Sport.

Sandwiched between those ties is one of the standout matches of the third round, which will be broadcast live on BBC One – the Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton., kicking off at 4.01pm.

Third round weekend culminates on BBC One with Arsenal hosting Leeds United on Monday, 6 January, with kick-off at 7.56pm.

As well as the live matches on BBC One and BT Sport, there will be the usual raft of additional FA Cup programming throughout the weekend, including Football Focus and Final Score FA Cup specials, plus Match of the Day highlights on the BBC and extended match highlights on BT Sport.
