The eyes of the sporting world will focus their attention once again on Augusta as the world’s best golfers vie for the honour to wear the coveted green jacket at the 83rd Masters Tournament, live on Sky Sports and the BBC on 10-13 April.
The eagerly anticipated first men’s major of the year will be held – as ever – at the pristine and immaculate Augusta National Golf Club, and the picturesque course has been the site of many a gripping golfing drama over the years, with its unique quirks recognisable to even the casual fan: glorious azalea-lined fairways, the winner’s Green Jacket and Amen Corner to name just a few.
In 2018 it was American Patrick Reed who kept his nerve to protect an overnight lead, holding off a remarkable charge by 2015 champion Jordan Spieth, to win his maiden major title, while the previous year saw a thrilling play-off between fellow Europeans Sergio Garcia and Justin Rose, with Spaniard Garcia ultimately prevailing to claim his first Masters title.
It is set to be another fascinating Masters week, with Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy going for a career grand slam of golf’s majors, while Tiger Woods aims to break his decade-long drought in the game’s biggest tournaments and win a fifth Masters title.
Fans can follow all four days live on Sky Sports or the BBC’s live free-to-air coverage of the final two rounds. But unlike other tournaments, there are strict restrictions over the amount of live TV coverage available to all broadcasters, including Sky and the BBC, meaning that fans will not be able to watch the whole tournament live from start to finish.
While play begins at 1pm UK time, all international broadcasters will not be able to show full play-by-play TV coverage on the first three days until 8pm and until 7pm on Sunday’s final round, though additional live streams, including Amen Corner and featured groups, will be available.

Sky Sports Golf will be the home of all four golf men’s majors in 2019 over what promises to be a thrilling three-month period, starting with the Masters in April.
Its comprehensive coverage will follow all the action from Augusta at every, from the players on the range, through the famous Par 3 contest and on all four days of televised play, with dedicated shows and films providing the full picture of The Masters.
Live tournament coverage begins from 7pm for the first three days and from 6pm on Sunday, with a one-hour build-up show previewing each day’s coverage, followed by full live play-by-play action commencing straight after, all on Sky Sports Golf.
Following the retirement of long-standing presenter David Livingstone after the 2018 Ryder Cup, the broadcaster has confirmed that Nick Dougherty will lead Sky Sports’ on-site presenting team at the Masters for the first time this year.
He will be joined by Sky Sports regulars including Butch Harmon, former European Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley and former PGA champion Rich Beem. They will also all be part of the play-by-play commentary team, which is led by Ewen Murray.
Sarah Stirk will also be part of the coverage, interviewing the world’s best players after finishing their rounds, while reporter James Haddock will provide regular updates to Sky Sports News viewers.
In addition to the main live coverage, subscribers will be able to follow the early action and two of the morning marquee featured groups for the opening two rounds, with that stream available from 2.15pm on Sky Sports red button and online via the Sky Sports website and Sky Sports iPad app.
Viewers can also track players’ progress through the famous Amen Corner for free on the Sky Sports YouTube channel, with a live feed from 3.45pm-7pm on each day during the first two rounds.
That stream is also available on red button and the app, where cameras focused on the 15th and 16th holes will be live from 4.45pm as the early starters get towards the end of their rounds.
As well as comprehensive live coverage, Masters Breakfast will offer extended highlights and analysis of the previous day’s play at 9am on Saturday and Sunday, presented by Rob Lee, with analysis from David Howell and Tim Barter.
Rounding off Sky Sports’ coverage of the 83rd Masters will be a special review show, looking back at all of the key moments from the week in How the Masters Was Won, on Sky Sports Golf from 7pm on Monday, 15 April.

BBC Sport will have free-to-air and live uninterrupted coverage of the climax to the 2019 Masters from Augusta National.
As in previous years, there will be live TV coverage on BBC Two of the final two rounds of play on Saturday and Sunday, plus highlights of the opening two rounds, also on BBC Two, with earlier showings on BBC Red Button (see network TV listings below).
Eilidh Barbour fronts the BBC’s Masters coverage for the second time, after taking over from Hazel Irvine as the BBC’s golf presenter after the 2017 tournament at Augusta.
Peter Alliss returns to lead the commentary team alongside Ken Brown, Andrew Cotter and Paul Azinger, while roving reports and interviews come from Rishi Persad.
In addition to the tournament coverage, a special Masters preview show on Wednesday night looks ahead to the event, which sees the world’s greatest golfers battling it out for arguably the sport’s most coveted prize – the illustrious green jacket.
The BBC’s live TV coverage will also be available on the BBC Sport website with an additional four live streams alongside the uninterrupted BBC TV coverage on Saturday and Sunday, a selection of which will also be accessible via the BBC Red Button.
The website site will also feature the live text commentary service, highlight clips throughout the tournament, news, reports and reaction from the team in Augusta.
