BBC Sport will broadcast one game from every round of this season’s Emirates FA Cup qualifying rounds, starting with live coverage of Haverhill Rovers against Haverhill Borough.
The extra preliminary round tie at the New Croft ground will be streamed live on the BBC Sport website, BBC Sport app and BBC iPlayer on Saturday, 11 August, kicking off the corporation’s coverage of this season’s competition.
Match commentary will be provided by Conor McNamara with former Watford forward Danny Webber alongside him for the 12.30pm kick-off.
Haverhill Rovers play in the ninth-tier Eastern Counties League Premier Division, while Haverhill Borough are members of the tenth-tier Eastern Counties League Division One North.
As trialled during last season’s competition, one game from every stage of FA Cup qualifying will be live-streamed across BBC Sport’s digital platforms.
Fans will be able to watch the game live on PC, mobile or connected TV, while coverage will also be available live and on-demand on BBC iPlayer.
A total of 736 clubs have entered this season’s FA Cup, with 368 of those starting their campaign on 11 August when 184 extra preliminary round ties will be played across the country.
Eighteen clubs will make their FA Cup debuts this term, with all of them entering the competition in its preliminary stage.
The BBC will follow all the stories from the this season’s competition from the very start in August, to the finish at Wembley next May, with the 2018/19 campaign marking the start of a new three-year TV rights cycle between the BBC and BT Sport which runs to 2021.
Following on from the qualifying rounds, both broadcasters will share live coverage of every round of the competition proper from early November, with BT Sport showing more live matches under the new TV deal than before, covering up to 30 live FA Cup matches live each season, alongside the BBC’s free-to-air coverage.
For rounds one and two, the BBC will showcase one live match while BT Sport will show three matches. From the third round onwards, the BBC will continue to show the first pick of live games from the competition on terrestrial television, with two matches per round from round three to the quarter-finals, as well as one semi-final and the final live on BBC One.
BT Sport also will cover an additional match from rounds three to five of the competition under the terms of the new deal, meaning up to five live games per round on its channels from January onwards.
Both channels will equally split live coverage of the quarter-final and semi-final ties. The 2019 FA Cup Final will broadcast live on both BBC One and BT Sport on Saturday, 18 May.
