Sky Sports have revealed which matches they will screen live in the second round of the 2015/16 Capital One Cup.
The TV cameras will be present at Luton Town’s clash with Stoke City on Tuesday, August 25, which will be followed by Barnsley’s tie against Everton on Wednesday, August 26.
Both ties kick-off at 7.45pm and offer viewers the chance to see Football League sides test themselves against Premier League opposition.
Luton take on Stoke as one of 10 Sky Bet League 2 sides left in the competition, and they will be keen to cause a shock.
Mark Hughes’ side have been active this summer, bringing in the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri, Ibrahim Afellay and Marco van Ginkel, but the trip to Kenilworth Road promises to be a tough one after the Hatters comfortably saw off Bristol City in the first round.
Barnsley’s match against Everton will serve as a homecoming for two former Tykes players.
John Stones and Mason Holgate have both left Oakwell to move to Merseyside and they will be keen to impress upon their return to the club where they made their names.
Sky Sports will be providing exclusive live coverage of the 2015/16 Capital One Cup, which will see two matches per round screened live, including both legs of January’s semi-finals, before the final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, February 28.
Free-to-air highlights will be broadcast on Channel 5 this season, with its 90-minute programmes rounding up the week’s action presented by Kelly Cates and George Riley.
