Sky Sports Open Day follows a similar promotion by the broadcaster 12 months ago as it began its rivalry with then sports broadcasting newcomers BT Sport, who offer their channels for free as part of their broadband package.
Alongside its major on-air revamp, Sky also confirmed that would overhaul its website and mobile apps ahead of the new Premier League season, while Sky’s pay-as-you-go online streaming service NOW TV is offering a Sky Sports weekly pass granting access to all of the sports channels for £10.99, for a limited period.
