ITV’s comprehensive coverage of the 2011 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season continues this afternoon on TV and online.
ITV4 and ITV4 HD will show highlights of all the BTCC action from Brands Hatch’s opening round of the season from 4.30pm-6.00pm this afternoon (Tues 5 April).
Those highlights will then be repeated later this week on both the ITV1 and ITV1 HD channels from 2.35am on Friday (8 April).
Highlights of all three races from last Sunday are available online at itv.com/touringcars, with the full highlights show also available on ITV Player.
ITV’s dedicated online BTCC page also includes a podcast reviewing Brands Hatch with interviews from impressive debutants David Newsham and Tony Gilham and Pirtek Racing and Honda Racing Team principals Mike Jordan and Steve Neal.
Furthermore, throughout the season the itv.com/touringcars page will also be carrying a regular blog from ITV’s resident BTCC race commentator Ben Edwards.
The ITV network has already announced it will broadcast live from every BTCC race day in 2011 for up to seven hours from 11.00am-6.00pm on both its ITV4 and ITV4 HD channels as well as itv.com. In addition, itv.com is providing for the first time live coverage of every one of Saturday’s qualifying sessions.
Veteran sports presenter Steve Rider hosts ITV’s extensive coverage of the BTCC, with pit-lane reports and interviews from Louise Goodman, and commentary from Ben Edwards, Tim Harvey, Richard John Neil and Simon Hill.
