Jodie Kidd and Matt Roberts have been confirmed as the new presenting line-up for ITV4’s coverage of the Isle of Man TT Races.
The new duo will be supported by previous TT winners Cameron Donald and Steve Plater, with Donald providing race commentary alongside experienced motorsport broadcaster Dave Moore.
The changes come after the production rights for the TT’s television coverage switched back to Isle of Man-based Greenlight Television, replacing North One Television who produced ITV4’s highlights shows for nine years, with Craig Doyle, Steve Parrish and James Whitham fronting coverage of the event since 2009.
Greenlight will produce 15 hours of coverage for ITV4 throughout the 2018 event, including a one-hour preview programme, race highlights and review shows.
Best known for her work as a fashion model, Kidd has extensive racing experience in four-wheel motorsport and raced some of Europe’s most prestigious circuits in the Maserati Trofeo Series. Her numerous TV credits include presenting Channel 5’s The Classic Car Show alongside Quentin Willson.
On becoming one of the new faces of ITV4’s Isle of Man TT coverage, Kidd said:
“I’m so excited to be presenting this year’s Isle of Man TT Races broadcast for ITV4.
“I’ve followed the remarkable TT Races for a number of years and the event is undoubtedly one of the iconic events in world motorsport.
“It’s going to be an incredible experience to see it first hand and it’s a real honour to be asked to present the programmes.”
Matt Roberts currently fronts Eurosport’s coverage of the World Superbike and British Superbike Championships, and was also part of the Eurosport team covering the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea.
He previously fronted the BBC’s MotoGP coverage and has also deputised for Craig Doyle as host of ITV4’s TT highlights shows when the Irishman was working on other sports.
Commenting on his new TT presenting role, Roberts said:
“There is a huge amount of respect for the TT riders in every race paddock I’ve ever been to.
“Anyone who understands and appreciates motorsport knows the skill, dedication, application and focus that is required to race around the Mountain Course and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to tell the story of this incredible event.”
Alongside Kidd and Roberts throughout the event will be former TT winners Cameron Donald and Steve Plater, who had been a key part of North One’s on-air line-up over the past few years.
Donald memorably winning two races in 2008 while Steve Plater’s career included victory in the 2008 Supersport and 2009 Senior TT Races.
As well as previous experience on the TT Races, Greenlight also produces a number of top motorsport events, including the Monaco Historic Grand Prix and the North West 200 Road Races. The company will also be produce coverage of the Classic TT event, which will be shown on ITV4 in August.
The Isle of Man TT forms a key part of ITV’s motorsport coverage, which also includes live action from the British Touring Car Championship, as well as highlights of British Superbikes, World Superbikes and the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Jodie Kidd really struggles to string together more than six words and she cannot do that with any conviction!
After lisening to the race comentry Saturday , it’s occurred to me that the comentry may have been added AFTER the race was filmed, ? It sounds like they are reading from a script.. especially when Cam Donald is talking..
Has anyone else thought that..? They do sound a bit wooden …
Love watching the TV TT coverage each year with my husband, but really struggled to keep watching due to the appalling presenters this year. Won’t be watching it next year if they remain, really not good.
Yes I have to agree with all the negative comments. It was a real struggle to actually watch the coverage. How they managed to ruin a well proven very enjoyable format. It was bad in all areas….terrible music, terrible graphics, some terrible camera positions ( I dont need to see anothr bouncing backside ) , terrible commentary ( wow ! ) , terrible editing of the races ( how bad was the end of the senior ? ) and of course no need to mention the presentors again …..
Please make it better again next year…..
This years TT races have been an absolute load of rubbish. Bring back Steve Parish and the old team. This has gone from a real highlight of the year to a boring dismal, flat pathetic presentation which really is’nt worth watching. There was no interaction with the riders or the crowds. The music was absolutely abysmal, King of the Mountain is The TT music. Seems to me like it was a money saving exercise to show as little as possible of the action with the boring on board cameras.
Just watched the Senior TT. The ITV presenters and commentators are pathetic . This was the most boring TT

I marshall for practise and retreat to a safe distance to watch the highlights on the telly. Very disappointed with this years coverage. The music is dull ,the presenters don’t appear comfortable with each other and how they manage to make the greatest event in motorcycle spirt boring is astonishing..
why are itv4 obsessed with staring up riders aholes, I had no idea proctologists were such big bike racing fans.
Hey ITV there is something seriously lacking this year with the TT presentation. It is lacking presentation. What have you done? You trying to turn viewers off watching this prestigious race event? You need to sort it for next year before we all lose interest.

Please somebody explain to Dave Moore the difference between sector times and lap records. Nobody is inside a lap record until they complete a lap.
ITV i hope you listen to what TT fans are saying and tell Greenlight to get shot of the whole commentary/ presenting team and bring back Steve Parrish et al. Your TT coverage has been completely ruined by this banal, wooden, pc shower of imcompetants.

Steve Plater & Cam Donald ok for a bit of expert knowledge , but somehow it’s just a bit flat now.
Please bring back Steve Parrish, and James Whitham, they bring a bit of life and humour to it, and also some credibility as ex riders.
Not loving the new presenting line up – Jodie Kidd is especially weak. Much preferred the knowledge provided by Parish and co.
I cannot believe that Steve Parrish is not part of ITV4’s team this year. we watch the highlights every night and are terribly dissappointed. This year has had some of the most exciting closest racing but without enthusiastic and knowledgable commentry by Steve it loses its “edge” Get him back asap

Agree with all critics of commentary and coverage, WTF? Old crew was brilliant in what they did for years, now we had to put up with this sheila Jodi, who looked all time like she was overdose on some very poor substance and couldn’t put a sentence without mumbling. And camera angles were rubbish, there is better footage by fans on YouTube than this “professional” TV crowd. Who enjoys looking at riders arse for the most of the race? Bring back the old chaps or else!….
So disappointed with this year’s coverage! itv 4 what have you done?! From the theme music at the start, the absolutely hopeless attempt at presenting from Jodie Kidd, lack of in depth interview features and lastly, no King of the Mountain to close the show! Don’t repeat this diabolical mistake next year and bring back what your viewers want , PLEASE!!!!
Tuned into this years TT to find the most awful show I can remember, who in their right mind thought Jodie kid was a good idea ? The coverage hasn’t been much better to be honest, please bring back Steve parish, at least he was a face we all could respect and listen too, I have read almost all the comments and nobody seems to want Jodie as the face of the TT.
After watching the first preview show I now record them and fast forward the presenter bits. I used to love listening to Parrish , Whitham and Plater but I find Jodie and Matt a real struggle.

I guess Suzi Perry wasn’t available but who on earth thought Jodi Kidd was a good replacement for Steve Parrish, Craig Doyle and Jamie Whitham? Big mistake! However lovely to see Matt Baker again and at least you feel you actually believe the comments he is making. Thank god Cam and Plater are still commentating otherwise this years TT coverage would have bombed and it’s not fair that this is detracting from all the hard work everyone has put in to put on the best show in the world! Please take note of fans comments and do not make same mistake next year.
Jodie Kidd is not an appropriate presenter for the world’s greatest motorcycle race, just as any male presenter would not be, who has little motorcycle experience or knowledge, has done a few car races and co-presented in an awful wooden fashion an eminently forgettable car programme…. If a woman presenter is required, get Maria Costello or Jenny Tinmouth, both of whom actually have TT experience. Jodie is a lovely lady but is doing the female cause no good at all, I am afraid.
The production is terrible that I’m almost bored watching the TT! Like come on. They spend ages on interviews you can’t actually see them doing and you feel like your watching the wrong coverage to what their saying and waiting for it to catch back up with itself. Terrible shit!

What a shock when we turned on the TT to see the presenting team had changed. Bring back Steve Parrish and Jamie Whitham. Matt knows his bike racing and was a good presenter on the Moto GP but Jodie Kidd!!
Jodie Kidd instead of Parrish and Witham, you are having a laugh ITV. I have nothing against Jodie as a presenter but Witham and Parrish have forgotten more about racing at the IOM than Jodie will ever know.
I agree with all the previous comments. No Doyle or Parrish on the presenting team is a joke. If it is not broken, don’t fix it.
Bring back the old presenters, put tv on and thought what the f**k is Jodie Kidd doing on here, I know she’s been involved in car races before, but there is no comparison to real men on scary big bikes, putting their life in the line in TT. She hovers overs the men like lurch, and brings nothing to the show at all. There’s that old saying if it ain’t broke don,t fix it, and no King of the Mountain sound track is the icing on the cake. Even coverage throughout race is poor.
Just watching Hutchies Miracle Man film again, he is 1 ballse y guy when you consider how close he came to losing his leg
Very very disappointed not to see Craig and the rest of the usual guys. Jodie Kidd is absolutely wooden and does nothing for this programme at all. Obviously I watch this show for the racing but used to really enjoy Craig and the rest of the team, you could see the chemistry between them all and it made for an all round great programme, lots of laughs. This year I’m afraid to say I think it is dire. Bring back the old gang soon as or I’m sure your tv ratings will drop rapidly.

The team are not exciting at all this is not being sexist but it’s a,man’s,sport don’t need a women to talk about motorcycles pissed off with the pc brigade nothing wrong with the old format all you will do is loose viewers don’t want viewers to stop watching so put it it back the way we all like it

No whitham and no Parrish, bad move! Whitham has a huge amount of knowledge about the bikes and riders and can put that across to the viewers. I can understand putting Steve plater and Cameron Donald in as replacements but Jodie Kidd!!! Timmy mallet would be more entertaining. Classic car show, what’s that shower of shit, probably on at 3am on aljazeera! Quentin Wilson!!! Last time I see him on tv was about 1986! I really want that on my cv. At least you know how to take a great programme and balls the presenting team up! Bring back whitham, even to just interview the riders.

Very disappointed not too see Craig Doyle and Steve Parrish and the new presenters are far from exciting. Jodie Kidd is dreadful as a presenter and in my opinion the whole production is inferior to previous years.

Exciting new team for 2018,i am going to the Island for the first time,wanted to go for almost 30years! Im only 44,but having grown up with Irish Road Racing the TT has been a dream and now it is so close i can taste it!! I would love the chance to meet the presenters new and old and hope that i bump into them,i am like a 10year old boy at Christmas waiting for the 2nd June!!
