Top class boxing will return to ITV Box Office in September as the pay-per-view channel screens the brand new World Boxing Super Series exclusively live.
Featuring world title bouts between high-profile cruiserweight and super-middleweight fighters, including Chris Eubank Jr and George Groves, the WBSS takes place in venues as diverse as Riga, Latvia and San Antonio, USA, as well as Wembley Arena.
Four quarter-finals in each weight division lead into two semi-finals before a live finale in May 2018 – all screened across ITV’s platforms.
In addition to the pay-per-view events, other events will be shown on ITV Box Office, on ITV4 or on the ITV Hub.
Fights being shown live on ITV’’s pay-per-view channel include Eubank Jr v Avni Yildirim on October 7, and Groves v James Cox for the WBA ‘super’ world title on October 14.
Live coverage begins with the WBC Diamond super-middleweight title fight between Callum Smith and Erik Skoglund on Saturday September 16 on ITV4.
The tournament begins on Saturday, September 9, with post-fight on-demand coverage of the WBO World cruiserweight title bout between Oleksandr Usyk v Marco Huck.
Commenting on the deal, Niall Sloane, ITV Director of Sport, said:
“Live coverage of this brand new tournament featuring some of British boxing’s most exciting talents is something we hope will appeal to keen fight fans and sports enthusiasts across the country.
