All 32 Emirates FA Cup third round ties will be broadcast live for the first time on UK television and online streaming services via BBC Sport, BT Sport and FA Player in January.
A bumper weekend of action from the world’s oldest cup competition kicks off on 8 January, with 24 matches to broadcast live on the BBC and BT Sport, while the remaining eight fixtures exclusively available to watch online for free via the FA Player.
The BBC will broadcast 8 live ties across its free-to-air platforms, including three live matches on BBC One over third round weekend.
These will include non-league Marine’s home tie against Premier League side Tottenham on 10 January, Crawley against Leeds United on the same day and current FA Cup holders Arsenal against Newcastle on Saturday, 9 January.
Among the other ties to feature on the BBC will be eight-time winners Chelsea’s home tie with Morecambe and Manchester City against Championship side Birmingham City.
All eight of the BBC’s live third round ties will be available to watch via the BBC Sport website and BBC iPlayer, with selected ties also available to watch on TV via the Red Button.
Highlights of Saturday’s ties will be shown on Match of the Day at 10.20pm on BBC One, with a further show on rounding up Sunday’s action at 10.30pm, also on BBC One.
BT Sport will be broadcasting 16 third round ties, five of which will be broadcast on BT Sport 1, with the remaining 11 exclusively available on BT Sport’s digital platforms and BT Sport Extra channels, available via the red button.
A huge weekend of cup football on BT gets underway on the night of Friday, 8 January as Premier League champions Liverpool visit Aston Villa, live on BT Sport 1.
BT Sport will have live coverage of five Saturday midday kick-offs, including Premier League Everton hosting Rotherham, as well as the 12.15pm kick-off between non-league Chorley and Derby County on BT Sport 1.
The featured live action on BT Sport 1 continues on Saturday night where Watford travel north to Manchester United with kick-off at 8pm, then on Sunday, Newport County host Premier League Brighton at Rodney Parade.
BT’s final third round action comes from Edgeley Park, with yet another potential giant-killing in store as David Moyes’ West Ham visit fifth-tier Stockport County.
The remaining eight ties will be streamed live and free of charge via FA Player.
To aid with fixture scheduling during these uncertain times, the fourth and fifth round draws will be held on the same night, taking place at BT Sport studios on Monday, 11 January from approximately 7.10pm, prior to the Stockport v West Ham tie.
Live coverage of the draw will be simulcast on BBC Two and BT Sport 1, as well as the FA Cup’s social media platforms.
