Sky Sports has announced that Jacqui Oatley will take over from Neil Ashton as the new host of its weekly football discussion show Sunday Supplement.
Ashton signed off after seven-and-a-half years in the chair with his final show on 12 January, having left his position as chief football reporter for The Sun to take up a role as a PR adviser for Manchester United.
Oatley, who has deputised as host on the programme this season, takes over the reins on a full-time basis from 19 January onwards.
A familiar face and voice to football fans up and down the country in recent years, Oatley is a qualified journalist and has been present in football press boxes for the past 17 seasons.
She has been a presenter, commentator and reporter on World Cups, European Championships and domestic leagues for the BBC, ITV and more recently Sky Sports, where she recently joined the roster of presenters on Sky Sports News.
Alongside her Sky Sports commitments, Oatley is also a regular reporter on the BBC’s Final Score and presents ITV’s darts coverage.
Commenting on her new Sunday Supplement role, Oatley said:
“I’ve been a regular viewer of the show since it first aired as ‘Jimmy Hill’s Sunday Supplement’, when I was following my own football team home and away.
“I never dreamed that I would be sitting in the chair asking the questions as a journalist myself all these years later. I can’t wait to get cracking this Sunday.”

Sunday Supplement is broadcast every Sunday morning from 10am on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Football, with a podcast version of the programme also available.
Oatley’s first guests as permanent host on 19 January will be the Telegraph’s chief football writer Sam Wallace, The Sun football writer Neil Custis and AP’s global sports correspondent Rob Harris.
