New and existing EE pay monthly customers will be able to get six months free access to all live sporting action on the BT Sport channels from July 27.
Customers on consumer and small business pay monthly handset, tablet and SIM only plan will be able to live stream all four of BT Sport channels on their smartphone or tablet over EE’s 4G network as well as WiFi whenever they choose.
The BT Sport offer is the first of a series of benefits to be made available to EE customers now that EE is part of BT Group, and the first time that a BT service will be promoted through EE’s retail stores nationwide.
This means EE pay monthly customers will have access to top sport from across the world including every match from the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, all 42 Premier League matches, The Emirates FA Cup, Aviva Premiership Rugby, European Rugby Champions Cup, MotoGP, UFC and much more.
As well as watching live action and on-demand catch-up, the revamped BT Sport App features video clips, highlights and interviews from the sporting world.
UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League matches will all be available live on the App via the enhanced video player which includes a game timeline allowing fans to view goals and key events from any game, at any time.
The EE deal has come about because of the BT’s high-profile acquisition of the mobile network earlier this year.
BT completed the £12.5 billion buyout earlier this year, which saw the mobile operator join the BT Group but retain its own brand.
