Weeks of transfer talk and speculation will be brought to end on February 2 when the January Deadline Day closes at 11.00pm and Sky Sports, BBC Sport and BT Sport will be keeping fans up to date with the very latest throughout the day with their blanket coverage.
Top-flight clubs have until the clock strikes 11 on the evening of the deadline to strengthen their squads and invariably many transfers will only be resolved at the last minute.
Like any other deadline day, this one is certain to throw up some shocks and surprises, as well as few panic buys, as the season enters its closing few months with everything still to play for across all divisions.
At the end of the January window 12 months ago, Manchester United spent £37.1m to bring Juan Mata to Old Trafford from Premier League rivals Chelsea, who in turn spent £21m to bring midfielder Nemanja Matic back to west London, having sold him three years earlier.
Along with the transfer window England and Scotland, major European leagues also have the same deadline, where many big moves could be made across Spain’s La Liga, Italy’s Serie A, Germany’s Bundesliga and France’s Ligue 1.
The window has been relatively quiet so far but football clubs often end up leaving their shopping until the last minute.
From each end of the professional football spectrum, from Arsenal to York and Barcelona to Partick Thistle, the majority of clubs will be on call hunting for any last-minute deals to either strengthen their squad or bolster their bank balance.

The clock is ticking to the closure of the January Transfer Window and Sky Sports will bring fans unrivalled coverage of Deadline Day, a day which Sky Sports News has made its own over the past few seasons.
This will be the second Transfer Deadline Day to be broadcast on the new-look Sky Sports News HQ, which launched last August, and the channel will have reporters across the country to provide blanket coverage of the day’s events, starting at 6.00am and running for a total of 18 hours, before concluding at 12midnight.
Following the incidents which affected the channel’s previous Deadline Day coverage in August, Sky Sports bosses have decided to take some of its on-site reporters away from the streets, where fans would congregate around them, in order to avoid a repeat of last year’s chaos.
The channel was forced to reconsider its tactics after a series of problems during their live coverage, which included one journalist trying to report the latest updates as a fan crept up behind him and shoved a sex toy in his ear.
Sky Sports have now taken the decision to place their reporters inside stadiums and training grounds where possible, rather than outside the gates in public areas.
Transfer Deadline Day is one of the most popular events of the year for the channel as clubs attempt to sign players before the window closes.
In Sky Studios, a host of big-name experts, including Thierry Henry, Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher and Jamie Redknapp, will be in the studio to deliver their verdicts on the standout business throughout the day.
As ever, ‘Mr Deadline Day’ Jim White, alongside Kate Abdo and Hayley McQueen, will be on hand take fans through to the 11.00pm deadline and beyond, while Sky Sports’ chief reporter Bryan Swanson and Dharmesh Sheth will again be manning the SkyPad to bring you details of all the moves.

BBC Sport will bring football fans the very latest on every move across television, radio and online as the January Transfer Window draws to a close.
On TV, Dan Walker will present a Transfer Deadline Day edition of Football Focus on BBC One from 10.45pm on Monday night, where he will be joined in the BBC Sport studios in Salford by a number of pundits to round up the day’s events in a special 45-minute programme, including Danny Murphy, Jermaine Jenas and Phil Neville.
The BBC News Channel will also broadcast a Transfer Deadline Day edition of Sportsday at 6.30pm, also presented by Walker with analysis from Jenas and Kevin Kilbane, which will also be streamed on the BBC Sport website.
Further updates on BBC News follow with Sportsday bulletins at 10.45pm and 11.45pm, while there will also be regular transfer news across the BBC’s national and regional television stations across the country.

BT Sport will also be getting in on the January Transfer Deadline Day action with a special edition of its regular discussion show Football Tonight.
Des Kelly and Lynsey Hipgrave present a three-and-a-half programme on BT Sport 1 starting 8.00pm – with just a few hours to go before the deadline closes at 11.00pm – live from the channel’s state-of-the-art studios on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
He will be joined by a host of guests throughout the show, including regular BT Sport pundits Robbie Savage, David James and Owen Hargreaves, as well a number of top football writers and journalists.
