Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs is to be the subject of a new prime-time ITV documentary to be aired on Thursday, June 5.

A new one-hour film, ‘Life of Ryan: Caretaker Manager’ focuses on the period Giggs became the interim manager of Manchester United and the four games he was in charge of the biggest club in the world.

Produced by Fulwell 73, makers of the acclaimed ‘Class of ’92’ film and the ITV documentary ‘First Among Equals: The Laurie Cunningham Story’, Life of Ryan features contributions from Giggs himself, along with a star-studded range of footballing legends.

He brought to an end his astonishing club career recently to become assistant manager to Louis van Gaal at the Red Devils next season.

The ITV documentary will be broadcast exactly a week before its coverage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup kicks off in Brazil, with the channel screening daily coverage from June 12 to the final on July 13.
