Glenn Hoddle is to join ITV as a pundit for its live coverage of England internationals and the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
The former England player and manager will lend his experience and insight to ITV’s on screen team alongside presenter Adrian Chiles and regular pundit Lee Dixon.
Hoddle will make his first appearance for ITV in its coverage of the England v Denmark friendly international on Wednesday, March 5, before being part of ITV’s punditry team for the FIFA World Cup in Brazil this summer.
He will continue to provide expert analysis during ITV’s exclusive live coverage of England’s Euro 2016 qualifiers and friendly internationals in the build up to the tournament in France.
Hoddle’s role on ITV is for England international matches only, allowing him to continue appearing on Sky Sports as a regular expert analyst for club football across its channels.
He has been a regular on Sky Sports’ football coverage for the last decade, though he has made occasional appearances for ITV during this time on UEFA Cup and Europa League matches.
The former Tottenham player and manager was also part of ITV’s World Cup on-air team in 1998 – following England’s departure against Argentina, his only tournament in charge of the national side – and again at Euro 2000.

ITV will show exclusive live coverage of all England European Championship and World Cup qualifying matches and friendlies until 2018.
The free-to-air broadcaster also holds the rights to show live Champions League and Europa League matches and highlights until 2015, after which it will then broadcast highlights only of both competitions.
ITV also shows live coverage and highlights of the FA Cup until the end of the current season.
