Sky & BT announce March live Premier League games

Sky Sports and BT Sport have announced the Barclays Premier League fixtures they will televise exclusively live in March as the end of the 2013/14 season draws closer.

In total, 20 live matches from the English top-flight will be screened – 16 on Sky Sports and four on BT Sport – including the Manchester derby at Old Trafford, Chelsea’s home clash with Arsenal and the top of the table clash between the Gunners and Manchester City.

Sky Sports subscribers will be able to enjoy plenty of mouth-watering fixtures as the season builds towards an exciting climax.

Every club in the current top half of the Premier League will feature at least once in its March selections, including Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.

Top clashes exclusively live on Sky Sports include the Manchester derby, Manchester United v Liverpool, the North London derby, and the top-of-the-table clash between Arsenal and Manchester City.

BT Sport will show one of the most keenly awaited games of the season in March exclusively live when current league leaders Arsenal visit Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal, who are currently just two points clear of the Blues in third place, will be hoping to visit the home of the Special One with their noses still in front of the chasing pack.

If their current positions are maintained, the game will have huge significance and may spell the end of Wenger or Mourinho’s title ambitions.

The four live BT Sport matches for March feature three of the current top four, as Manchester City’s away tie against Hull City is another of the picks.

Title holders Manchester United will also be covered live twice, the first of which will see them travel to the Hawthorns to take on West Bromwich Albion under new manager Pepe Mel on March 8.

BT Sport will also be showing the Red Devils’ home clash against Aston Villa on March 29 when they will be looking to repeat their emphatic away win against the Villans in December.

Simon Green, head of BT Sport, said: “Following on from some fantastic live games scheduled throughout the last few months, BT Sport will continue to offer top quality Barclays Premier League clashes in March.

“The clash between Wenger and Mourinho at Stamford Bridge could be absolutely pivotal in deciding who lifts the Barclays Premier League trophy.

“However, Manchester City, no doubt, believe that they will have a big say in that, so we’ll be keeping an eye on them too, in order to see if they can reproduce their incredible home form on the road at the KC Stadium.”

Sky Sports is the place to enjoy live Premier League football on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays throughout the season with 116 games to be shown during this campaign.

BT Sport has the rights to show 38 exclusively live football matches from the Premier League, including 18 top picks for at least three seasons.

From the beginning of March, Sky will have 40 live matches remaining compared to be BT’s eight, while from April, with six rounds of fixtures to go, Sky will have 24 matches left and BT Sport has four.

Sky began the season with three times as many televised fixtures and will have six times as many for the last six weeks of the season.
