BT Sport has announced it latest set of exclusively live Aviva Premiership matches for March and early April, covering rounds 17 to 19.
For the first time since 2011, Premiership rugby fans will be able to watch four live matches over a single weekend from March 21-23.
Following on from the conclusion of the Six Nations, the feast of Premiership action on BT Sport in March includes the London derby between Saracens and Harlequins at Wembley and London Irish’s annual St Patrick’s Day game, which this year pits them against Bath.
BT Sport’s bumper weekend concludes on Sunday, March 23, when Welford Road hosts the clash between Leicester Tigers and Exeter Chiefs.
In April, BT Sport will screen the match between Saracens and Northampton at Allianz Park that could go a long way to deciding who finishes top of the league ahead of the play-offs.
There is also the West Country derby between Gloucester Rugby and Bath Rugby, all topped off with a re-run of last season’s Aviva Premiership semi-final when the Saints head to Allianz Park to take on Saracens.
In addition to BT’s live games for rounds 17-19, Premiership Rugby has also revealed that the play-off semi-finals, both to be broadcast exclusively live on BT Sport, will take place on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18, both kicking off at 2.00pm.
Further TV selections for rounds 20 and 21 will be picked by the end of February, with the final round of regular fixtures being picked in the week building up to round 22 in May.
BT Sport is the home of the Aviva Premiership for the next four seasons where it will show exclusive live coverage of up to 69 matches a season.
Coverage is presented by Craig Doyle, alongside commentators and analysts including England captain Lawrence Dallaglio, former England internationals Matt Dawson, Ben Kay, Austin Healey and Martin Bayfield.
Nick Mullins and Alastair Ekyn lead the commentary team and Sarra Elgan is the channel’s regular pitchside reporter and presenter.
Alongside BT Sport’s live coverage, ITV Sport broadcasts regular weekly Aviva Premiership highlights shows every Sunday on ITV and ITV4, featuring the best action from each of the six games per round.
