Swansea City and Wigan Athletic are on the road on Thursday night as they bid to seal their berths in the first knockout round of the 2013/14 Europa League campaign.
A total of 18 clubs are already through to the last 32 of Europe’s second-tier competition with six more spots up for grabs on Thursday.
They will be joined by the eight third-placed teams from the UEFA Champions League group stage.
Another English representative, Tottenham Hotspur, are already through along with Spanish clubs Valencia and Sevilla, France’s Lyon and Fiorentina of Italy.
ITV and new rights holders BT Sport will share live coverage of the 2013/14 UEFA Europa League season with up to six live games each matchday during the competition.
ITV4 will be the place to watch the majority of the top matches as ITV Sport has all first and second pick games during the group stage and the entire knockout phase.
Most of ITV’s live games will be shown on digital channel ITV4, with matches featuring British teams from the quarter final stages onwards to be screened on ITV in the new year.
ITV will also screen live and exclusive coverage of the 2014 UEFA Europa League final in Turin.
On matchday six, Tottenham Hotspur and Swansea City’s ties take centre stage once again as part of ITV4′s double bill of live games.
Matt Smith introduces coverage of both fixtures from the AFG Arena and White Hart Lane respectively.
The Swans need at least a draw to guarantee their progression from Group A following a 1-0 home defeat against Valencia in matchday five.
Spurs earned a 2-0 win in the reverse fixture with Anzhi, and they will be expecting to end their successful group campaign in style, having already ensured they will top Group K after winning 2-0 away to Tromso last time out.
BT Sport takes over from ESPN as pay-TV rights holders to the competition and will broadcast at least four live matches during the group phase across its three channels, plus a selection of matches during the knockout stages.
Jake Humphrey presents BT Sport’s coverage with commentary and analysis from Ian Darke, Darren Fletcher, Steve McManaman and David James.
Both broadcasters will screen a dedicated highlights package on Fridays during every matchweek.
Last season’s FA Cup winners Wigan know that their fate is out of their hands as they make the journey to Slovenia under new management.
German Uwe Rosler was appointed to replace Owen Coyle, who departed last weekend after a run of three successive defeats left the club from the English northwest in 14th place in the Championship.
Wigan, who lost 2-1 at home to Zulte Waregem last time out, visit Maribor needing to win while also hoping the Belgian side lose to group winners Rubin Kazan.
Elsewhere on BT Sport tonight, German side Freiburg will be looking to seal qualification from Group H alongside Sevilla when they host the Spaniards.
Dynamo Kiev host Rapid Vienna with both sides looking for the remaining berth from Group G behind Genk.
