BT Sport has announced details of the live Aviva Premiership games it will broadcast exclusively live from rounds 13 to 16.
Covering the whole of February and the first weekend of March 2014, BT Sport will screen 11 games from English rugby’s top flight during this period.
With rugby union firmly in the sporting spotlight during this time, fans will be able to enjoy regular live rugby each week on BT Sport as the Aviva Premiership complements the action from the 2014 RBS 6 Nations.
During the third weekend of the Six Nations, BT Sport will broadcast a live ‘Super Sunday’ of Aviva Premiership action.
Champions Leicester Tigers will travel to London Irish for the first part of the live double-header on Sunday, February 23, followed by Saracens hosting Exeter Chiefs at Allianz Park.
The matches come the day after England host Ireland at Twickenham and on the first free Sunday during the championship.
The latest round of live TV matches starts on Friday 7 February when the Worcester Warriors entertain the Leicester Tigers, followed that weekend by Northampton Saints’ trip to Sandy Park and Harlequins hosting London Wasps on Sunday.
Dominic Hayes, Premiership Rugby’s Commercial Director, said: “The audience figures on BT Sport have been way above any estimation this season with the early rounds almost double what they were a year ago, so we expect this Super Sunday to be very popular amongst our fans.
“We always knew that Aviva Premiership Rugby was one of the most compelling competitions in the world and it is great to have a broadcaster who shares our passion for the league.”
BT Sport is the home of the Aviva Premiership for the next four seasons where it will show exclusive live coverage of up to 69 matches a season.
Coverage ispresented by Craig Doyle, alongside commentators and analysts including England captain Lawrence Dallaglio, former England internationals Matt Dawson, Ben Kay, Austin Healey and Martin Bayfield.
Nick Mullins and Alastair Ekyn commentate across BT Sport’s rugby output and Sarra Elgan is the channel’s regular pitchside reporter and presenter.
Alongside BT Sport’s live coverage, ITV Sport broadcasts regular weekly Aviva Premiership highlights shows every Sunday on ITV and ITV4, featuring the best action from each of the six games per round.
