Sky Sports and BT Sport have confirmed the Barclays Premier League games they will screen live during the first month of 2014.
January features several must-see fixtures, including Chelsea’s home clash with Manchester United, the Merseyside derby at Anfield, plus Newcastle United’s trip to Manchester City.
Eight more Premier League games have been added to the Sky Sports schedule during the month of January as it continues its biggest ever season of live football.
Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City all feature in its selections, which sees Sky Sports showing four live matches across back-to-back weekends in January.
Highlights include David Moyes’ Manchester United team head south to Stamford Bridge to play Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea on Sunday, January 19, plus high-flying Arsenal against Aston Villa – the side who beat them on the opening day of the season – on Monday, January 13.
BT Sport’s newly-confirmed live Barclays Premier League games in January will include the second of this season’s Merseyside derbies from Anfield on the evening of Tuesday, January 28.
The following day, BT Sport brings viewers a mouth-watering match between title hopefuls Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City on Wednesday, January 29.

BT Sport kicks off 2014 on New Year’s Day with the already announced double header of Southampton against Chelsea at 3.00pm followed by Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur at 5.30pm.
This is followed by a lunchtime kick off on January 18 with Sunderland v Southampton, both managed by South Americans in the shape of Sunderland’s Gus Poyet and Southampton’s Mauricio Pochettino.
Midweek coverage of the Merseyside derby on BT Sport on January 28 is always eagerly anticipated especially with both sides among the form sides this season.
On January 29, BT Sport brings fans exclusively live coverage of Tottenham Hotspur against Manchester City.

“We have a great double header from the Barclays Premier League on New Year’s Day, just ahead of our Third Round FA Cup with Budweiser coverage, followed by what promises to be some intriguing and exciting Premier League clashes, that includes the second Merseyside derby of the season.
“And on top of that there’s the excitement of The FA Cup Fourth Round. We promised BT Sport viewers top class football action and that’s exactly what we’re delivering.”
