ITV will once again provide extensive coverage of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season.
All ten BTCC race days throughout the year will receive up to seven hours of live coverage on ITV4, meaning fans will be able to see every second of the action from Britain’s biggest four-wheeled motor racing championship unfold as it happens.
There will also be full coverage of the TOCA support championships, including the popular Renault UK Clio Cup featuring Nicolas Hamilton, the Porsche Carrera Cup and Ginetta categories.
Veteran sports presenter Steve Rider returns to present ITV’s coverage and will be joined once again by Louise Goodman, who will provide interviews and reports from the pit-lane.
Expert commentary will come from ITV’s new recruit Toby Moody – who replaces Ben Edwards – and 1992 BTCC champion Tim Harvey, who will be commentating on his tenth season of British Touring Cars for the network.
Extended highlights of every race will be shown in a 90-minute programme at various times in the week following each event on ITV1 and ITV4, and will be available to watch online via ITV’s catch-up service ITV Player.
ITV has also confirmed that it will continue to stream live coverage of all ten Saturday BTCC qualifying sessions on its dedicated British Touring Cars website (itv.com/btcc), enabling fans to see how the first of Sunday’s three starting grids is decided.
