Amir Khan will defend his WBA and IBF Light-Welterweight world titles against Lamont Peterson, live on Sky Sports.
Khan will fight on Sky for the first time since he beat Marcos Maidana last December, in a clash that many boxing pundits described as the best fight of 2010.
Live coverage of the Peterson showdown on December 10 will be the first of three bouts featuring Khan to be shown as part of the new deal, and every fight will be screened on one of the main Sky Sports channels.
It marks a sensational return for the British star after Sky refused to screen his world title unification bout with Zab Judah in July, and pulled out of screening his April fight with Paul McCloskey due to low pay-per-view sales.
The Bolton boxer’s previous two fights, against McCloskey and Judah, were screened on PPV network Primetime.
Khan’s return is part of a huge month of boxing on Sky Sports. The network will screen Carl Froch’s Super Six final showdown with unbeaten American Andre Ward in Atlantic City, where the WBC and WBA Super-Middleweight titles will be on the line.

“Fighting in America can make it difficult for my British fans to see me live in action, but being on Sky Sports means they can cheer me on and enjoy the fight as it happens from home.
“I’m training harder than ever for this fight and I guarantee the fans won’t want to miss it!”
Adam Smith, Sky’s head of boxing, commented on the new deal via Twitter: “Fabulous news to have Amir Khan back on a 3 fight deal with Sky Sports. What a December on Sky – Klitschko, Khan, Froch, Brook and more!”
Sky Sports managing director Barney Francis said: “This is great news for Sky subscribers. We’re pleased to welcome Amir back, and delighted to be showing his next three fights on Sky Sports.
“His big title defence follows a great autumn of boxing on Sky Sports, and will be part of a great month of boxing that includes four world title fights and some of the biggest names in British and world boxing.”
Amir Khan turned professional in the summer of 2005. His first 18 fights were shown on ITV, before switching to Sky Box Office in September 2008, in preparation for a world title shot.
Despite suffering a shock defeat in his opening fight on Sky, against Bredis Prescott, he quickly rose through the ranks to become multiple world champion, including testing fights against Marco Antonio Barrera and Andreas Kotelnik.
Khan made a brief return to ITV, who screened his first fight in the United States against Paulie Malignaggi in May 2010.
