Sky Sports and BBC Sport Scotland have confirmed the 2014/15 William Hill Scottish Cup 6th Round ties they will be broadcasting live over the weekend of March 6-8 as the competition reaches the last eight.
Three ties will be televised from the fourth stage of the competition with two being shown live by Sky Sports and one will be screened on terrestrial television via BBC Scotland.
In the first of three live games, Falkirk will travel to SPFL Championship rivals Queen of the South at 7.35pm on Friday, March 6, which will be shown live on BBC One Scotland.
Queens beat holders St Johnstone to progress to the quarters, while the Bairns overcame Brechin City, with both sides currently in the top half of the Scottish Championship.
Then on Sunday, there are two live games both exclusively live on Sky Sports in a Scottish Cup double-header, as Hibernian play the winner of Spartans v Berwick Rangers at 12.45pm, before Dundee United host Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic at 3.30pm.
Sky Sports and BBC Scotland will share live coverage of the pick of each round’s ties from Scotland’s greatest domestic cup competition between now until the final in May.
Sky Sports will screen the first and third pick matches from round four in November to the quarter finals in April, with BBC Scotland having the second choice of live games.
Both semi-finals will broadcast live on Sky Sports in April, while BBC Scotland will simulcast the second-choice last-four encounter, then the two broadcasters will then share live coverage of the Scottish Cup final, which will return to Hampden Park on Saturday, May 30.
All of BBC Scotland’s coverage, including Sportscene highlights programmes over Scottish Cup weekend, will available to all UK viewers online via the BBC Sport Scotland website and on catch-up via BBC iPlayer, while BBC Scotland channels can also be viewed on Sky and Virgin Media platforms.
