BBC Sport and BT Sport have confimed details of the live Fourth Round replays they will be televising as part of both channel’s continuing coverage of the 2014/15 FA Cup.
Cambridge United’s reward for their heroic 0-0 draw with Manchester United over Fourth Round weekend is another TV date, this time at Old Trafford, with BT Sport to screen the League Two side’s trip to the home of the eleven-time winners on Tuesday, February 3, kicking off at 7.45pm.
Richard Money’s club are certainly counting the cash from this FA Cup run, having picked up over £150,000 from the FA’s broadcast fund for their battling performance at the Abbey Stadium, which sits alongside their earnings of £113,000 so far during the competition, having joined it from the First Round Proper back in November.
Cambridge will net a further £72,000 for their TV appearance in the Fourth Round replay at the home of the Red Devils, plus more than 40% of the Old Trafford gate receipts, so the incentive will certainly be there to continue their magnificent cup run at the home of the 11-time winners.
Meanwhile, the BBC have chosen Championship side Bolton Wanderers’ clash against Premier League giants Liverpool as their replay choice on Wednesday, February 4, kicking off at 7.45pm.
The Trotters had their keeper Adam Bogdan to thank after securing a 0-0 draw at Anfield on Saturday and will now welcome the seven-time winners to the Macron Stadium for the re-run, which will be shown live on BBC One.
Wednesday night’s winners will play Premier League side Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in the fifth round, while the winner of BT Sport’s live replay will travel to either Preston North End or Sheffield United.
The FA Cup returned to BBC television after a six-year absence this season and fans will be able to watch up to 16 live matches on BBC One and BBC Two throughout the competition.
Aside from the live games on BBC TV, all presented by Gary Lineker, Saturday’s Football Focus will be broadcast live from one of the match venues, plus there will be Match of the Day highlights on both Saturday and Sunday.
BBC Sport’s dedicated FA Cup website – bbc.co.uk/facup – will be the place to see all the weekend’s goals on-demand, as well as live video and text commentaries, reports and opinion from the BBC pundits.
BT Sport’s live FA Cup coverage will be presented by Jake Humphrey from pitchside alongside regular pundits including Michael Owen, Robbie Savage, Owen Hargreaves and Steve McManaman, as well as a number of special guests.
As well as the live games, BT Sport will also broadcast highlights and goal clips from each round of the competition in programmes throughout each FA Cup weekend.
Alongside comprehensive TV coverage, fans can enjoy all the action on the go from each live FA Cup tie via the BT Sport app, while match highlights, goal clips, interviews and special features will also be available to watch on the app and on btsport.com.
In addition, all the goals from the FA Cup Fourth Round replays will be available to watch online shortly after the conclusion of each match via the BBC Sport website.
