Liverpool FC has announced that its in-house television channel LFC TV will be re-launching in high definition on the Sky Digital platform from November 4.
The club has promised that the re-launch of the station will provide an ‘all-new, bigger and better channel’ to provide supporters with exclusive content from inside the club 24 hours a day, although the channel will now only be available to watch via a £7 monthly subscription.
Broadcasting directly from an all-new interactive studio in the heart of Liverpool, Sky customers will experience live daily news, brand new programmes and unrivalled behind-the-scenes access – 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
Subscribers will get all of the latest breaking news from the team’s training base at Melwood, with bulletins all day, every day, in addition to exclusive interviews with squad and staff, features from the archives and modern day, and in-depth documentaries telling the stories that matter.
As Brendan Rodgers’ side battle in four different competitions this season, from the Barclays Premier League to the UEFA Champions League, fans with Sky can opt to upgrade to receive the channel, giving them a chance to watch for full replays of every single first-team game, while Anfield legends are on hand to provide pre-game build-up and post-match analysis.
Pre-season fixtures will be shown live and exclusive on LFC TV HD every summer, and the channel will be the place to keep track of all Reds youth teams and the title-winning Liverpool Ladies, with live coverage or highlights of all matches.
There will be a range of competitions and opportunities to scoop money-cannot-buy prizes too, ensuring that the new channel is the number one destination for Liverpool supporters to follow the club they love.
Launched in September 2007, LFC TV was formerly offered as part of the Setanta Sports package, but now operates as a stand-alone channel following the demise of the Irish-based channel’s UK operations in 2009.
Before the re-launch with the high-definition channel, LFC TV’s usual content was replaced by archive programmes as it prepares to go live with LFC TV HD for the first time on Tuesday, November 4.
Fans can subscribe to the channel £7 a month, or €9 a month in the Republic of Ireland, and as a special promotion, the first 2,000 new subscribers can claim a special LFC Sky+ HD remote control, worth £29.99, completely free.
Call 08442 414 906 in the United Kingdom or 0818 904 092 in the Republic of Ireland to add LFCTV HD to your Sky package. Lines are open between 8.30am and 11pm, seven days a week.
