2022 promises to provide another memorable 12 months of sport with many top class events to look forward to throughout the year.
This year’s scheduled highlights include the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics in February, followed by the Winter Paralympics a month later. Also taking place in March will be the rescheduled ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in New Zealand.
The summer months will be headlined by the UEFA Women’s Euros in England, Oregon stages the World Athletics Championships, while Birmingham play host to the Commonwealth Games. In August, the multi-sport European Championships will be held in Munich.
Rounding off an exceptional sporting year will be the delayed Rugby League World Cup, with the men’s, women’s and wheelchair events being staged across England; followed by football’s greatest showpiece – the 2022 FIFA World Cup – which takes place in Qatar from 21 November to 18 December.
