BT Sport is offering a huge Christmas treat for rugby fans after announcing that it is to make a selection of of its live Aviva Premiership matches available for free via its website and TV platforms.
Four top live games from English rugby’s top flight will be free-to-view to everyone who has access to BT Sport’s channels via their TV platform, as well online via theBT Sport website, starting with Sale Sharks who take on Exeter Chiefs on Friday, December 19.
Big Game 7 at Twickenham between Harlequins and Northampton Saints on December 27 will be the second free-to-view match, followed by Newcastle Falcons take a trip to Franklin’s Gardens on January 2 and Gloucester Rugby welcome Saracens to Kingsholm on January 9.
UK viewers can watch the games over the four week free-to-view period either online at btsport.comor on TV via the BT TV and Sky platforms.
Fans without BT Sport will able to follow all the action from rounds 10-12 of the Aviva Premiership with ITV Sport’s highlights shows throughout the festive period, all airing on ITV4 at 8.00pm on Sundays with a repeat showing later on ITV.
Alongside BT Sport’s 10 live Aviva Premiership matches, there are also a bumper 14 live Guinness Pro12 games for rugby union fans to look forward to on Sky Sports, BBC TV and S4C.
This includes three live free-to-air BBC-televised matches on Boxing Day, as well as Saturday double-headers on Sky Sports across every weekend during the festive period.
On the first weekend of 2015, Sky’s double bill includes the all-Irish clash between Leinster and Ulster, who lock horns at the RDS Arena, before Scarlets entertain Ospreys in Llanelli.
