Sky confirms first batch of live games for Sky Sports 5

Sky Sports has confirmed the early season live schedule for its new Sky Sports 5 channel with up to 75 live matches from five European competitions featuring during the first five weeks on air.
Self-styled as ‘the new home of European football’, Sky Sports 5 launches on Tuesday, August 12 with the UEFA Super Cup between Real Madrid and Sevilla, expected to feature Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo, at the Cardiff City Stadium.
The European season’s traditional curtain-raiser marks the first live match to be broadcast on Sky Sports 5, which will offer up to 600 live European football matches during the 2014/15 season.
Subscribers will be able to follow many of the stars and teams from the 2014 FIFA World Cup, including World Cup winners Germany in European Qualifiers for the UEFA Euro 2016 Finals in France, starting with their first competitive fixture against Scotland on Sunday, September 7.
The opening five weeks will offer 24 European Qualifiers, 18 UEFA Champions League fixtures, weekend triple-headers from La Liga and up to three games a week from Holland’s top division, Eredivisie, including regular live coverage of Ajax, Feyenoord, PSV Eindhoven and FC Twente.
Full details of all 75 confirmed live games will be announced in due course, including La Liga and Champions League games, though the early confirmed matches can be found at the bottom of this page.
