British Eurosport has live coverage of the 2014 Tour of the Basque Country featuring some of the world’s top riders including Alberto Contador.

In the past, the race has been dominated by Spanish riders, with the likes of Alberto Contador and Juan Jose Cobo winning here in the past.

However, last year saw an intriguing battle between two Colombian riders for the yellow jersey.

Nairo Quintana of Movistar and Sergio Henao of Team Sky both controlled the race from stage three onwards, but it was Quintana who managed to breakthrough to claim his first major stage race victory.

It is one of 28 races that make up the UCI World Tour.

The final stage sees riders partake in a 26km time-trial, giving the likes of Contador and Alejandro Valverde the perfect opportunity to strength their TT skills ahead of the Grand Tours.

Eurosport’s very own Sean Kelly won this race three times, in 1984, 1986 and 1987

Former British road race champion Matt Stephens will join Carlton Kirby in the commentary booth.
