Sky Sports and BT Sport have announced the 2018/19 Premier League fixtures they will be broadcasting live in December and January.
A total of 43 games have been selected for live TV coverage, covering the festive period and the first month of the New Year, with Sky Sports showing 31 matches whilst 12 will be televised on BT Sport.
Sky Sports’ live selections are headlined by ‘Derby Day’ on Sunday, 2 December, which serves up a hat-trick of crunch clashes as Chelsea play Fulham at Stamford Bridge, before Arsenal host Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates and Liverpool face Everton.
Another highlight from Sky’s latest selection of games sees Manchester United face arch rivals Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, December 16.
There is a Boxing Day treat with three games to take in, all exclusively live on Sky Sports, starting with Wolves’ match at Fulham, followed by Brighton’s home clash with Arsenal, before Watford face Chelsea at Vicarage Road.
Another Sky Sports triple-header on Sunday, December 30 begins with Chelsea’s trip to Crystal Palace and takes in Manchester City’s trip to Southampton, before the day’s action ends with United hosting Bournemouth.
Meanwhile, 2019 kicks off with a New Year’s Day double featuring Everton against Leicester at Goodison Park, before Cardiff host Spurs. January also sees Premier League champions City play Liverpool at the Etihad, with that titanic encounter taking place on Thursday, January 3.
BT Sport will be showing 12 exclusively live Premier League games including Manchester United against Arsenal, Chelsea against champions Manchester City, a festive feast with Arsenal heading to Anfield to play Liverpool and the Gunners welcoming London rivals Chelsea in January.
A mouth-watering encounter on Wednesday, 5 December sees two of the division’s heavyweights go head to head as Manchester United welcome old foes Arsenal.
Following this will be a BT Sport double-header on Saturday, 8 December, starting with two of the Premier League’s early pace-setters facing off, as Chelsea host Manchester City in what should be a thrilling clash between two of the league’s most attacking outfits and a potentially key fixture in the title chase.
Leicester City against Tottenham Hotspur follows straight on from coverage at Stamford Bridge, with the late-night fixture getting underway at 7.45pm.
Rounding off BT Sport’s top-flight action for the year, cameras head to Anfield as Arsenal look to finish 2018 on a high and silence the Kop.
The big boys then join the FA Cup in the third round, with fixtures being broadcast across the opening weekend of January.
After FA Cup Third Round weekend, the Premier League returns to BT Sport screens with Chelsea facing Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, 12 January, while a week later sees the reverse fixture of one the games of the season so far, when Maurizio Sarri’s men cross London to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal.
The opening month of 2019 is completed by another midweek double header, starting with Man City’s trip to the north east to play Newcastle, followed a day later by Jurgen Klopp’s Reds playing host to Leicester City.
In addition to live matches on Sky Sports and BT Sport, the BBC will broadcast free-to-air highlights on Match of the Day every Saturday and Sunday throughout the season.
Confirmation of the next set of live TV games for February 2019 is expected around 12 December.
