BT Sport will stream live coverage of Bayern Munich’s semi-final first leg tie against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League online for free via btsport.com on Wednesday, 25 April.
Two of European football’s powerhouses collide in the last four of Europe’s biggest club competition, with both teams boasting 17 European Cup trophies between them.
It is also the most played fixture in the history of the competition, with Wednesday’s first leg set to be their 25th meeting.
A free live stream of the match will be made available on the BT Sport website via the banner below, with coverage starting at 7pm ahead of a 7.45pm kick-off.
The game will also be available to watch for free via the BT Sport app, with users on both platforms able to access BT Sport’s enhanced video player, which enables viewers to scroll back and forth to watch all the key moments from the match.
In addition to free online coverage via the BT Sport website, the game will also air on BT Sport 2 and BT Sport 2 HD on TV platforms.
BT Sport recently moved its live free-to-air European football offerings from the Showcase TV channel to its online platforms, with the expectation that the Freeview channel will cease broadcasting at the end of the current football season, when their current deal with UEFA to show a selected number of matches free-to-air expires.
The broadcaster is yet to confirm whether BT Sport Showcase channel will continue on Freeview in its current form next season, but it has promised an element of free Champions League and Europa League coverage via social media as part of its new three-year deal with UEFA, including in-game clips, weekly highlights, UEFA’s magazine show and live coverage of both finals.
Details of all forthcoming free live sport on BT Sport Showcase and online via btsport.com and BT Sport app can be found here via SOTB’s dedicated BT Showcase listings page.
