IPA Champions Cup Pool live on FreeSports

Live pool has arrived on terrestrial television as FreeSports follows the search for the UK’s best 8-ball pool player in the IPA Champions Cup.

Running for 21 consecutive weeks, the FreeSports Champions Cup goes out on Monday nights from 7pm-10.30pm, broadcasting live from various clubs around the UK and totalling up to 70 hours of live televised pool to free-to-air audiences.

The weekly events feature all the IPA Professionals doing battle over a series of group stages. The 16 group winners will then feature in the knockout rounds until we discover our new champion.

As well professional tour players, the event is also open to the 2018 women’s world champion, regional qualifiers and sponsors invites to ensure a field of 64 players.

Pool is one of the latest sports to be added to the schedules of FreeSports, the UK’s only dedicated free-to-air sports channel.

It currently operates on Freeview channel 95, Sky 424, TalkTalk and BT TV 95. It carries a wide range of sports including rugby league, ice hockey, football, motorsport, basketball and MMA.

Earlier this year, FreeSports broadcast live coverage of the IPA World Pool Championships from the Cedar Court Hotel, Bradford, broadcasting three days of coverage.

The IPA 2018 Tour is broadcast live on the IPA’s Official You Tube page. Click on the link here – youtube.com/user/IPAPOOL – and if you have YouTube on your Smart TV or other set top box, subscribe to the channel and look out for notifications.

The 2018 Champions Cup games are also uploaded to their YouTube page after the live FreeSports broadcast.
