Tour de Yorkshire 2017 live on ITV4

ITV4 will bring viewers live coverage of the third edition of cycling’s Tour de Yorkshire, which gets underway on Friday, April 28 in Bridlington.

A host of top riders and professional teams, including BMC, Team Sky and Orica Greenedge are expected to take part in the race, which was created after millions turned out to watch the opening stages of the Tour de France in Yorkshire in 2014.

Kicking off with a 173km stage which starts outside Bridlington Spa, the race heads into Pocklington for the first intermediate sprint.

Classified climbs up the Côte de Garrowby Hill and Côte de Goathland will get riders’ legs pumping before the race hits the coastline again at Whitby.

The route continues on to Robin Hood’s Bay for the third and final climb and then into Scarborough for the finish along North Bay.

The second stage on Saturday runs for 122.5km from the newly reopened Tadcaster Bridge to Harrogate where the men will tackle a route featuring one King of the Mountain Climb at Lofthouse and two sprints at Knaresborough and Ripon.

Alongside the second men’s stage, ITV4 will also cover the Women’s Tour de Yorkshire race, which will feature Lizzie Deignan, live over the same course earlier in the day.

The third and final stage covers 194.5km from Bradford to the finish at Fox Valley in Sheffield and features eight King of the Mountain Climbs and two Sprints.

ITV4 will have broadcast coverage of all three days, presented by Gary Imlach, who will be joined by cycling legend Chris Boardman for coverage of the men’s race and former Olympic and pro cyclist Lucy Martin for the women’s race.

Ned Boulting and David Millar will be in the commentary box, with reports and interviews from Daniel Friebe.

Alongside extensive live TV coverage on ITV4, cycling fans can also watch all the action unfold online via the ITV Hub – itv.com/itv4.

Eurosport will have limited live TV coverage of the race and nightly stage highlights, though extended live coverage will be available online via subscription on Eurosport Player.
