Sky Sports will broadcast exclusive live coverage of the William Hill Scottish Cup semi-final between Celtic and Rangers in April, while holders Hibernian face Aberdeen in the other tie, which will be simulcast on Sky and BBC Scotland.

The two Glasgow rivals will meet for the fifth time this season at Hampden Park on Sunday, April 23, with a 12.00pm kick-off.

Runaway Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic have beaten their old rivals three times already this season, but when the teams met at the same stage of the cup last year it was Rangers, then in the Championship, who came out on top after extra-time and penalties.

Sky Sports will be the only place to see the Old Firm cup clash unfold as it happens, though the match will be in direct competition with Leicester’s Premier League clash against Tottenham which is also being shown by the broadcaster.

Hibernian who went on to win the competition in thrilling fashion, though, and the holders will face an Aberdeen side who sit second in the Premiership table in the other semi-final.

That match will be broadcast simultaneously on BBC One Scotland and Sky Sports on Saturday, 22 April with a 12.15 kick-off.

BBC Scotland will also broadcast free-to-air highlights of both semi-final encounters.
