Some of the top athletes from across Europe head to Belgrade to compete at the 2017 European Athletics Indoor Championships and BBC Sport and Eurosport will screen live coverage.

The 34th edition of the events takes place at the Kombank Arena and the Great Britain team travels to the Serbian capital with a number of podium potentials.

The record breaking 23-year-old Laura Muir headlines a 32-strong team as she launches her bid to become double European champion in the 1500m and 3000m.

Muir, who will be joined in both events by fellow Scot Eilish McColgan, is in the form of her life after taking a second off Dame Kelly Holmes’ British indoor 1,000m mark at the recent Birmingham Indoor Grand Prix, whilst also setting a new European record with the second fastest run of all time.

This comes just a few weeks after setting a new European 3,000m indoor record and the British 5,000m indoor record, on top of beating Holmes’ British outdoor 1500m mark last summer.

Elsewhere, Britain has a number of strong medal hopesin Belgrade, with Andrew Pozzi, currently ranked world number one in the 60m hurdles, David King and David Omoregie making up an incredibly strong trio of male British hurdlers.

In the men’s 60m, Richard Kilty will be looking to defend his title, with British Indoor champion Andrew Robertson and Theo Etienne hot on his heels, whilst World Indoor medallist and British champion Lorraine Ugen, and European medallist Jazmin Sawyers will all be looking to claim Britain’s first European Indoor medal for 33 years in the women’s long jump.

BBC Sport will broadcast complete coverage of the event on BBC Two, BBC Red Button and online, presented by Gabby Logan.

Joining Gabby to discuss the action as it unfolds will be Colin Jackson, Denise Lewis and Paula Radcliffe, while Steve Cram, Andrew Cotter and Steve Backley lead the commentary team.

Eurosport will also have full live coverage across its TV and online platforms, with Martin Gillingham and Chris Dennis provide commentary.
