Snooker Shoot Out 2017 live on ITV4

The Watford Colosseum hosts the Coral Snooker Shoot Out for the first time this February and ITV Sport will broadcast live coverage of all the fast and furious action as 128 players battle for the title.

Returning to ITV4 after its 2016 debut on the channel, the Snooker Shoot Out is now in its seventh year and is regarded one of the most exciting and unique events on the snooker calendar.

It features a one-frame knock out format with all matches lasting a maximum of ten minutes, using a shot clock of 15 seconds for the first five minutes of each frame and 10 seconds for the last five.

This year, the tournament has been upgraded to a ranking event which will host 128 of the world’s top players, all competing for the top prize of £32,000.

A new innovation for this year’s event is that the players will wear microphones while at the table for the first time, helping give extra insight to the watching audience.

Finland’s Robin Hull is the defending champion, beating Belgium’s Luca Brecel, while previous winners include England’s Nigel Bond, Barry Hawkins and Martin Gould, and the Welsh duo Dominic Dale and Michael White.

Drama and excitement are guaranteed as many of the matches are set to go down to the last few seconds, generating an electric atmosphere and providing great entertainment for snooker fans.

ITV4 will broadcast all seven sessions of the 2017 Coral Snooker Shoot Out live from the Watford Colosseum, with coverage hosted by Jill Douglas.

Joining Jill throughout the weekend for expert analysis and will be Alan McManus and Neal Foulds, while Clive Everton and Phil Yates will be in the commentary box.

All of the action will also be available to watch live online via the ITV Hub.
