Sky Sports has picked the two stand-out ties from the EFL Cup fourth round for live coverage in October as Manchester United host Manchester City and Liverpool play Tottenham for a place in the last eight.

The Manchester pair were drawn against each other after progressing from the third round, where Jose Mourinho’s side saw off Northampton Town 3-1 while Pep Guardiola’s team beat Swansea 2-1 win at the Liberty Stadium.

It will be the second time the rivals have met at Old Trafford in two months, following City’s 2-1 win on September 10, and the first time they have met in the EFL Cup since United’s 4-3 aggregate win in the semi-final in 2010.

Their tie will be played on Wednesday, October 26, live on Sky Sports with an 8.00pm kick-off.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s clash against Tottenham will also be shown live onSky Sports on Tuesday, October 25, with a 7:45pm kick-off.

Last season’s runners-up Liverpool will be looking to take another step towards Wembley in the hope of making up for their penalty shoot-out defeat to City in February.
