BT Sport has confirmed the opening UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League group stage matches it will make available for fans to watch on its Freeview channel BT Sport Showcase.
Premier League champions Leicester City will start their first-ever campaign in the Champions League live on BT Sport Showcase as they take on Club Brugge on Wednesday, September 14, with coverage starting at 7.00pm ahead of a 7.45pm kick-off.
On the following night, fans of the Europa League will also see one of the top Italian clubs in Inter Milan take on the Israeli Super Cup winners Hapoel Beer Sheva, who narrowly lost in UEFA Champions League qualifiers against Celtic, on Thursday, September 15, kicking off at 8.05pm.
In addition to the two live European football matches, BT Sport Showcase will also show Aviva Premiership rugby on Sunday, September 11, as last season’s champions Saracens take on the team they beat in the Premiership Final, Exeter.
BT Sport is the exclusive home of all live UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League matches until at least the end of the 2017/18 season, with selected live matches across both competitions to be broadcast on BT Sport Showcase, which is available on Freeview channel 59.
As well as both games being available on BT Sport’s Showcase channel, UK viewers can also watch live streaming online via btsport.com.
Free-to-air highlights from every matchday of both the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League will continue to be shown on ITV on Wednesday and Thursday nights throughout the season.
