On the eve of a new Premier League season kicking off, Sky Sports and BT Sport have announced the live games they will broadcast in October and November.

In total, 32 games will broadcast across this next period, with nine of those live on BT Sport and the other 23 all on Sky Sports, including Liverpool v Manchester United which is set for the Monday Night Football slot for the first time.

Sky Sports subscribers can see every team live on its channels before the end of November as another dramatic Premier League begins to unfold at both ends of the table.

In October and November there will be two returning managers live on Sky, with Ronald Koeman taking Everton back to his former home at Southampton, while Jose Mourinho heads to Stamford Bridge, where he lifted three Premier League titles, to occupy the away dugout for the first time as Manchester United manager.

Friday Night Football returns for a third live game of the season, presented by Jeff Stelling and Rachel Riley, with all the build-up and reaction to Everton’s home match against Crystal Palace.

Then on October 17, Sky’s new Monday Night Football host David Jones will be joined by Jamie Carragher for live coverage of the huge north-west clash bweetn Liverpool and Manchester United, which could prove to be an early guide to the fortunes of Jurgen Klopp and Jose Mourinho.

Commenting on its selection of live games in the autumn, Sky Sports head of football Gary Hughes said: “It is going to be a fascinating Premier League season as Leicester proved you just can’t predict what will happen.

Sky Sports has more games than ever before, and the biggest games including Liverpool against Man Utd on MNF for the first time.

“We’ll visit every ground by November and tell the full story of a league you just can’t take your eyes off.”

Sky Sports will screen 126 live Premier League games this season, alongside its live coverage of the English Football League, EFL Cup, La Liga and 2018 World Cup Qualifiers.

Also new this season is Sky’s expanded mobile clips service delivered by the Sky Sports’ Football Score Centre app providing highlights of Premier League and Football League matches on their phones on match days.

Over on BT Sport, the North London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will take top billing once again as part of the channel’s line-up of nine exclusively live games in October and November.

Its coverage in October kicks off with Mourinho’s Manchester United taking on Stoke City, managed by former Old Trafford hero Mark Hughes, on Sunday, October 1.

Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace host West Ham United at Selhurst Park on Saturday, October 15, and the following week sees Liverpool taking on West Bromwich Albion on October 22, with the month culminating with another trip to Crystal Palace as they take on Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

Fans can expect fireworks when Everton visit Chelsea to take on the title hopefuls for a 5.30pm kick off on on November 5. The following day will see Arsenal host their rivals Tottenham Hotspur at midday, with the away side keen to gain revenge for Arsenal finishing above them in the Premier League last season, and following the November international break, Tottenham will this time play host as they take on London rivals West Ham United on November 19.

The final weekend in November will see BT Sport cover two matches with Lancashire clubs Burnley and Manchester City setting the ball rolling when they face each other on November 26 at 12.30pm, then the focus turns to Stamford Bridge as Chelsea play host at 5.30pm to Tottenham.

Simon Green, head of BT Sport, said: “Once again football fans can look forward to exciting Premier League games on BT Sport, including those teams competing in Europe and battling it out for the Premier League title.

“We’re broadcasting some of the best matches from the Premier League as well as exclusively live matches taking place in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League throughout October and November.”

In addition to 42 live Premier League games, the majority of which will be shown in its new 5.30pm time slot, BT Sport will once again be the home of live UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League games this season, along with its comprehensive coverage of European leagues and Scottish football.

All of BT Sport’s matches broadcast on Saturday evenings will follow the channel’s new football results show BT Sport Score, which starts at 2:30pm and is presented by Mark Pougatch, who will be joined by a host of BT Sport pundits during the season including Robbie Savage, Jermaine Jenas and Harry Kewell.

All these Premier League matches on Sky Sports and BT Sport in the autumn, some of which are subject to clubs’ involvement in UEFA competitions, follow on from the key games to be shown in August and September, which were confirmed in the summer.
