NBA London 2015: Bucks v Knicks live on BT Sport

World class NBA basketball returns to London on January 15 as Milwaukee Bucks take on New York Knicks in regular season game at London’s O2 Arena, exclusively live on BT Sport.

Part of the NBA’s 2015 Global Games schedule, this Eastern Conference fixture marks the fifth visit by the world’s greatest basketball league to UK shores and promises to be a closely fought affair, with precious season points at stake.

The four previous NBA regular season games at The O2, all of which have been sell-outs, included New Jersey Nets against Toronto Raptors in back-to-back games in 2011 and 2012, Detroit Pistons taking on New York Knicks in 2013, while Atlanta Hawks took on Brooklyn Nets 12 months ago.

In 2015, it is the New York Knicks and Milwaukee Bucks who are in town for the big game at The O2 and British basketball fans are set to be in full force once again in Greenwich.

The Knicks make their second trip to London, having played in 2013, and are led by seven-time NBA All-Star and two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, Carmelo Anthony, together with six-time NBA All-Star Amar’e Stoudemire.

The team also currently features six international players, such as Andrea Bargnani of Italy and Jose Calderon of Spain.

This season will see five-time NBA champion Derek Fisher make his head coaching debut, alongside Knicks President and NBA coaching legend Phil Jackson.

The Milwaukee Bucks feature Brandon Knight who led the team in points per game, assists and steals last season, andJabari Parker who was the second overall pick of the 2014 NBA Draft.

The team also features four international players, such as Giannis Antetokounmpo of Greece and Ersan Ilyasova of Turkey.

This will be Head Coach Jason Kidd’s third trip to the capital for a regular-season game, having come with the New York Knicks as a player in 2013 and again last year as head coach of the Brooklyn Nets.

BT Sport will be the only place to watch live coverage of the NBA’s latest trip to London on Thursday, January 15.

Darren Fletcher presents the channel’s exclusive coverage from The O2 alongside a range of special guests from the world of NBA, sport and celebrity.

Live coverage begins at 7.30pm on BT Sport 1 with a half-hour build-up show ahead of a 8.00pm tip-off, with BT using the coverage and commentary feed provided by NBATV.

In addition, BT Sport, the NBA and Facebook will be combining to deliver NBA fans an innovative digital experience for this year’s O2 clash.

Between 7.15pm and 8.00pm, ‘The BT Sport Facebook Lounge’ will feature live appearances from many of the A-list celebrities attending the event.

Arsenal and England football star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will join BT Sport reporter Helen Skelton as the show takes fans to the heart of the build-up at The O2 before the 8.00pm tip-off.

All-star guests will ‘check in’ via Facebook to ‘The BT Sport Facebook Lounge’, and post photos on their Instagram pages hashtagging #btsport. Fans can put their questions to the guests via BT Sport’s Facebook page.

‘The BT Sport Facebook Lounge’ will also feature in BT Sport’s separate live TV coverage of the event.
